Little Mexico Restaurant — Restaurant in Beloit

I am deeply disappointed as when I arrived, a woman informed she was waiting for her to go order and raved how good the food was. I got excited that the food would be good as she was surely a repeat customer.

Well I ended having to seat myself after no assistance after a few minutes trying to get any of the staff's attention.

Got served after waiting a few more minutes at the table. Was brought a menu and gave him my drink order. A water, a pepsi no ice and a bottle of lime Jarritos.

I asked if they had any signature dishes. He made a few suggestions. I ended up going with my wife's favorite, that being chicken enchiladas.

He came back with my drinks and sala and chips. Water was a thimble maybe 2 gulps. Pepsi had ice, which I specifically asked for no ice. But at least a got all 3 drinks.

Salsa was not salsa. Think tomato juice that you watered down by 50%. Chips were so stale and tough. There was not much chips, just enough to cover the bottom of the basket. I asked for a thicker salsa with maybe some vegetables and some flavour. I was brought thicker tomato sauce later into the meal.

Main course came like warm almost cold. The rice was overcooked, the refried beans were rushed and undercooked almost runny. There was no lettuce, grated cheese or sour cream at all. I asked for both the red and green sauce and once again. Thin very, very watered down film on the enchiladas that had already soaked into them. They were barely above room temperature and bland, no flavour.

Well one good thing is that it didn't cost much but then you don't get much. I will definitely not be back to this place as I think Taco Bell would of been a better...

One star is too much. The beer was cold which was the highlight of the meal. The chorizo and cheese was so oily you had to let it drain before eating. I ordered a burrito al pastor which was absolutely disgusting. One bite was all I could take. I made my wife try to meat and she told me is was nasty and I shouldn't eat any more. Her chimichanga was also nasty. She ate two bites or so and then gave up. Now my favorite part of this disaster the bill. They tried to charge me for a meal I took one bite of and sent back to the kitchen. I complained so the lady said she would remove it. Now this is what I don't understand. My bill was right around $55 with my nasty burrito included. She brought out the bill without out my $13 burrito and the bill was $50. Now my math is not the greatest but this doesn't compute. I just looked at what they charged on my debit card and it was the original $55. WTH. I would say to anyone and everyone never step foot in this restaurant. The food is gross and after looking at the reciept once I left they are thieves in my book. We waited an hour for food we didn't eat at Little Mexico and just now went through the Burger King drive through to get...

Two stars because the food is usually good, not great, but good.

The service is always fairly slow. Today, it was horrendously slow. I went up to the counter with my basket of stale chips to ask for fresh ones. I was told, I'd be gotten to in a minute. Instead, the server took care of the other customer that had been waiting behind me. I was in need of a drink refill and that didnt matter either. After it had already taken almost ten minutes to get my drink and chips in the first place. There was zero rush to this person's job in any way. When the server blatantly helped the person standing behind me, I left. The server hollered after me, to which I responded. We spoke, he told me that some people are willing to understand and be patient. ....I am extraordinarily patient and understanding, when it at least looks like someone gives two hoots about their job. Walking around at a snail's pace and only grabbing one thing at a time? No. No, you do not get my understanding and patience. You want to be apathetic, you have to deal with people not appreciating that. And, you want a tip for that service too. Hahaha

I will not be back anytime...
