Step by Step Catering was a fantastic investment for us not just in terms of food but also of trust, care, and community. They really dug in deep to provide more than just a meal. They provided a feeling of home and family despite the diverse definitions of those words held by our guests and ourselves.

Given the immense emphasis that our Italian and Indian backgrounds place on food being a part of experience, we had especially high expectations of the meals, presentation, and overall presence from Vanessa and her team. They did not disappoint!! You can see on their faces and by their actions that they cared just as much about everyone as we did. Seeing them in action arose a jealousy in us wishing we had the ability to connect with total strangers in a way that felt like you were going to their warm and welcoming homes for a home cooked meal.

I received poor customer from this establishment. I placed an order for 15 people and paid for delivery. Around 4:30 pm, I contacted the restaurant to ask what time was my delivery. I was told that they didn't have a driver and that my order was for pick-up. I replied no. I paid for delivery. However, I will come pick up my food. Upon my arrival, I asked if I could receive 15 paper plates. I was told "that was not included in your order." It's interesting that she could read my invoice and tell me what I didn't order but failed to read "delivery" that was also on that sheet for which I paid. One would think that they could sacrifice 15 plates considering I had to pick up my order because she failed to read that I paid for delivery. I was told that they were busy. I was also told that I would receive my reimbursement. After a week, I contacted the establishment to check on the status of my reimbursement and was told they have been busy for the holidays and that I needed to send them an email with the invoice number to reimburse me. I found Step by Step Catering by searching online. I met with them and from beginning to end they were the absolute best. Ms. Weekes was so sweet. We used them for our wedding 5/28/2016. We were expectING close to 200 guests. She helped us to pick a nice menu to accommodate our guests and worked with me and my schedule as I prepared for graduation as well. They responded very quickly at all times and we're always prompt and professional. She worked with my husband and I to accommodate us for whatever we needed. They drove to our venue for put final walkthrough and were just overall excellent to work with. On the wedding day they were very professional and prompt as well. When I saw my table I absolutely loved the setup and decor. It accented the rest of the wedding decor nicely. All of the guests complimented the food and service as well.
