Sam's Pizza — Restaurant in Belvidere Township

My first time ordering from Sam's Pizza in Belvidere and I was not disappointed!

This is no Pizza Hut that's for sure!

If you're looking for quality not quantity this is your pizza place.

Their pizza is true to size, their pizza is not greasy like most chain pizza stores. Their pizza is definitely that homemade great quality.

Upon calling Sam's Pizza to place an order I was greeted by a woman very friendly. Upon arriving to Sam's Pizza Store you walk into a room and on your left is the pickup window where you pay and there is no card reader for them to do debit or credit so prepare to bring cash only. There is an ATM machine to get cash behind the door when you walk in. There is no paper menu just the sign mounted on the kitchen wall. The gentleman that gave me my pizza said they can make any pizza when you order. This is not a dine in place too only carry out...

Since a child I have come to this establishment. Have traveled all over the United States and have tried litteraly 200+ different pizza parlors/chains and none compare to Sam's pizza.

Just a little pizza joint on the main drag and is barely noticeable at times and is open 8-9 months out of the year. The pizza is by far the most authentic I have had in 30 years. The price is fair and for the amount you get it is amazing. The sauce is unique and easily the best out there. The dinning area seams to seat 40+ at Max. When you sit and wait for your food you see her making your pie like it is an art and take her time to make it and perfect. after her father Sam died I expected the place to close down. To my surprise it wasn't. His daughter keeps this beautiful family...

Have been going here for 25 years, my mother and her family have been going here for more than 30+ years and I have never had a pizza anywhere in these united states (prices from $5 per pizza to $40 per pizza) that comes close to this authentic taste and love that goes into every pizza. You will never find better sauce ANYWHERE in Illinois, "chicago" pizza has nothing on OG Sam's Original sauce. RIP Sam, you created something beautiful and the community will forever be grateful for you and Josie! Everyone should try sams at least once before kicking the bucket. Anyone who doesnt like authentic pizza or good taste will give a 1 star review. They probably call Mcdonalds gourmet. YOU HAVE TO GET...
