I was born and raised in Central Oregon and have been driving to get this pizza for as long as I can remember, because it’s delicious and they don’t deliver. Also because they’re always so kind everybody says hi they bring a little bell when you tip. They have the secret garlic love seasoning you can’t beat. But tonight was absurd. Truly unlike anything I’ve ever experienced as far as customer service goes. I had ordered a pizza with half veggies and pineapple and the other half just cheese an olives with a side of pineapple. I have three boys and one loves pineapple the others like just cheese and olive. When I get there, they tell me that they don’t do sides of pineapple anymore. “Trying to keep things simple”. I’m in shock. I’m willing to pay for the pineapple. The whole purpose of buying pizza rather than cooking is to make my Saturday night easy & my kiddos happy. So I asked if I could just get some cold pineapple on a few pieces. The manager stepped up and said we don’t do quarters. I told him that was understandable. I’d just pay for a whole pizza with pineapple but please to leave two prices without it. He refused. I was in shock. The young man who was working the register and who took my order was apologetic and kind. The manager, Mike wouldn’t make an exception. He said I could wait and order a couple of extra slices! I paid for all the pineapple and according to him it had to go on all the pizza. I’m a businesswoman and even if I wasn’t this made zero sense. I debated on the tip and ended up giving 15%. I then opened the pizza and took the pineapple off of one piece (one of my twins hates the taste the other one loves it). I should have looked for a trash can but I was honestly so frustrated and wanted to make a point; why can’t I either have it on the side or have one piece without it. I sat the few pieces on the counter and started to close the box. Mike picked up the pineapple and threw the dirty 5 pieces on my whole pizza!!!!!!!!
This place used to be the best and even if it was mediocre, as a customer I deserve to have what I ordered and definitely not food thrown on my expensive pizza. Thanks for literally making me cry as my 15 year old who’s learning to drive, pulls out of the parking lot scared and confused & I go home hoping we don’t get the flu. Crazy policy! Crazy behavior! I generally write positive reviews but this was awful. I’ll...
Read moreThis is ridiculous. I have ordered (by phone) several times and have always loved Cibellis pizza. I had signed up to receive email offers, and this past May, saw that there was on offer for a free cheesestick order with the purchase of an 18” or 24” pizza, but online only. So, instead of calling as I usually do, I placed on order online to get the deal. However, the order didn’t go through and it told me the code was invalid. It also the said the order would only go through w/o the code. It then automatically ran the order through.
I called the store, described what happened, and they said they didn’t know anything about online deals [1st failure]. The correct response should have been, sorry that happened, we’ll put in your free cheesestick order. I picked up my pizza and it was great. So, I filled out a contact form on the website and again explained what happened.
I did receive a quick response, but it said that “if it turns out it was a glitch or error on our end we’ll absolutely make it right”. [2nd failure]. The correct response should have been we’re sorry that happened and please enjoy a free cheesestick order on us.
I responded, reiterating what happened, explaining again I submitted the order w/ the coupon code, it was rejected saying it was invalid (it wasn’t), and my order was sent through w/o it.
[3rd failure] I never got a response at all. The system glitched period. It shouldn’t matter why it failed - it did. It’s far more important, that a customer was inconvenienced, and that an advertised offer didn’t work. And that’s aside from the fact that I went out of my way to order online, which I normally don’t do.
[4th failure] So two whole months later, I replied to the email thread, recapping what happened, and again have received no response, two days later.
For the record, I don’t really care about the cheesesticks. It’s the lack of genuine, great customer service. It matters. I worked at Whole Foods Market in Atlanta for several years, and what was drilled into our heads was to go above and beyond what is expected, to provide the best...
Read moreJust moved to beautiful Oregon. 1st pizza ordered here was fantastic. We decided to try another pizza place because other pizza places will be as good, right? WRONG! We tried another place that also ends with "elli". When we walked into the other place the employees were wearing their masks as chin guards. We took the pizza home and heated it up and it was still disgusting. We threw the pizza in the trash and called Cibelli's that same night. I showed up early and parked a ways away from the front door. No customers were in Cibelli's Eastside when I walked in. They were ALL wearing masks correctly. They were thoroughly cleaning and obviously care about their customers. I explained to them what happened with the other pizza place. His response was that they are all trying to do what they can to help the community. WOW! Of course, the pizza was once again fantastic. You have earned new, loyal and appreciative customers. We are moving to Powell Butte and will be ordering from Redmond. Keep up the good work and than you for caring and doing your part to help...
