The cowboy pizza is one of the best there is, and I am a pizza FANATIC (very critical of my Za!)! From spinach & bacon & chicken to other artisan toppings, for a bazillion years this has been the best pizza place, ever (& with a great variety - a Central Oregon classic that has survived the restaurant wars, pandemic, & so on!). If they could ever do stuffed crust... I'd never have to eat anywhere else, again. Of course, some folks don't like take 'n bake (why not? Still no dishes...)... but the prices (even though it seems like they've been going up?), have always been good, the workers are ALWAYS nice, it's clean & it's fast. Seriously... $23 or so for a pizza that can feed 4 normal people (or 1 me)? That's a no brainer. So why 4 stars? Because they close early, and it fluctuates sometimes, so it's hard to know. I'd do 3 just for that... but it's not really fair to them. I've ALWAYS told folks, for as long as I can remember & I've been here 30 years: best... pizza... ever!. One of the VERY FEW reasons I don't wanna move out East yet is because I'd miss Papa Murphy's. But... CALL AHEAD &/or get there early, or you might not get pizza. It may be a staffing issue, economy, I dunno (definitely a staffing issue given some complaints they're getting... but this economy & the lower income in Bend being treated so poorly with cost of living... they're lucky to have staff at all, because they have very rigid requirements of their workers)... but once you try their Cowboy... just don't get an urge for it at 7:15 pm... cause they close at 7 (& that's super frustrating). So, for the food, price, & service: 5 stars is NOT enough, but for customers with wonky hours, or who get a late night hankerin' for the best pizza ever... it's a no go. I changed this review from 1 star voluntarily... I was originally upset that they closed early & a 14 hour workday ended in disappointment... but with the skyrocketing prices at other restaurants I recently encountered (including cheap fast food joints), these folks are some of the last holdouts for quality ingredients & quality food that don't break the bank, and that's worth something. Hopefully... more folks discover this place, eat here more often, & they can keep the lights on a little longer! Cheers... and enjoy! (Order the...

That essentially sums it up. As you can see in my profile, I prefer to give good reviews & rarely give poor reviews.
I have been going to Papa Murphy's for over 30 years (even back in the day when it was "Papa Aldo's") & I am a huge fan of Papa Murphy's in general.
However, I will never go back to this location!
I had to call multiple times before my call was answered. When I tried to order a $12.99 pizza I was told that it would be $13.99 ("Corporate told us to raise the price today") despite receiving both an email (see attached) & text message from Papa Murphy's corporate that morning stating $12.99. I asked to be upgraded to a Pan Crust. The guy on the phone said he didn't think he could do that. I mentioned other locations upcharge $1 for this, he said that would work and could do that. I was told my pizza would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I arrived over 30 minutes later, my pizza was not ready. Not a big deal as they were pretty busy.
However, when I went to pay I had to deal with a very condescending & petulant squatty shift lead (I'm guessing here) at the register. Despite having the email with the $12.99 price from corporate, he told me that was too bad, it was $13.99. He then told me I could not do the Pan Crust at that price. I asked about the $1 upcharge as that was common at other locations and he flat-out said no. Then did not attempt to offer other options. He then said I would be charged full price (roughly $25). Additionally, they had been charging all customers that day $13.99 despite the country-wide promotion being $12.99.
Now a lot of this would be understandable if it wasn't accompanied by his condescending, huffy, rude, & not helpful behavior during this interaction.
As someone who has worked in both food & beverage and retail, this level of customer service (complete lack thereof) was embarrassing!
Again, I will never consider this Papa Murphy's location again. Good luck to all those who do.
UPDATE 3/13/24: Papa Murphy's North location has much better & friendlier service. The response from the owner below (go online and use a chat bot...)...
Read moreI've never changed a review before but this place deserves it. Time management is something that is seriously lacking here. I have always come to understand that this location runs a bit slow but tonight was a little rediculous. I called in and put in an order for 2 pizzas and the guy on the phone told me 15 to 20 minutes. So I gave them 30 minutes just to be safe. When I arrived they had over 7 people waiting for pizza and my order hadn't been started yet. I have now been standing here for about 15 minutes past the time I arrived and I am still waiting to see them even start on my pies. Whoever manages this location needs to be either fired or re-trained. I worked at a papa murphy's in high school years ago and this would have never been acceptable. I will no longer be coming to...
