This is long but SO important: I was recently diagnosed with life-threatening allergies to dairy and any other mammal products (called Alpha Gal Syndrome). To make it simple, I mostly eat a vegan diet. It's been life-altering, to say the least. Eating out has become a huge source of anxiety and awkward conversations when ordering food. Making food from scratch isn't always an option for me when I'm on the go. This morning, I was without hangry snacks readily available, so I searched Yelp for vegan-friendly, and Ozark Mountain Bagel came up nearby to the doctor's office I was at. Taking the chance because I felt like I was starving but still feeling anxious about the whole deal, I walked in, not knowing what to expect. I felt the vibe as soon as I entered -- upbeat, positive, and welcoming. It was not too crowded or overwhelming. There was space to breathe and check out the menu. I nervously approached the cashier, glad I was prepared with at least one vegan option thanks to a Yelp review. I ordered the Gumby but also wanted bagels (again, STAH-ving and already wondering what I would eat for lunch). The young lady helping me was so friendly and encouraging, I decided to add on salads. I was on a roll! She was so kind and didn't act like requesting vegan options was at all unusual. She even mentioned they have vegan cream cheese and "Would I like to try some?" Heck yeah! BTW, they have gluten-free bagels! Ordering the fruity salads was no sweat because they omitted the feta. The employees were careful not to include any cheesy bagels in the assortment I ordered. Needing to lighten up my coffee, the young lady even had almond milk on hand. Oh my goodness! This may seem like such a vanilla transaction to some, but for someone recently experiencing horrible allergic reactions and having huge anxiety over ordering food I haven't personally prepared, let me tell you, I decided to take the time to write this review. I want everyone to know what amazing employees were there this morning. They didn't sacrifice efficiency for kindness, consideration, and amazing service all around. They've earned my business any time I return to the neighborhood. My breakfast and lunch were delicious blessings today! Thank you so much! I hope Ozark Mountain Bagel employees are recognized for their A+ work. I even enjoyed the hand-decorated box my bagels were in. Why have a plain cardboard box when you can have one...
Read moreWe tried this bagel Co for the first time around 10:30 am. We love supporting local businesses and try to choose them over chains as much as we can. With that said, no matter how much we wanted to love it, unfortunately we were very disappointed. The staff and service was great! However, the bagels, cream cheese, and cinnamon roll were a huge let down. The bagels were thin and dry. We ordered an asiago bagel sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese. We could barely taste the asiago, and didn't care for the microwave bacon. We also ordered a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Neither of us could taste the blueberry at all. It may as well have been a plain bagel. The strawberry cream cheese was really pink, but also tasted like plain cream cheese. I honestly couldn't finish it. (If anyone is wondering, no we don't have any taste issues from COVID! Everything else we have been eating and drinking has plenty of flavor.) We ate the cinnamon roll around 2:30pm the same day at home. We warmed it up to give it the best chance possible! The icing was great and plenty of it! However, the cinnamon roll was also dry and very mediocre. As other reviewers have stated, we also wish they posted prices. I was going to get a coffee, but didn't know how much they were so I passed. As much as we wanted to love this bagel Co and choose it over Einsteins and Panera, unfortunately we will not be back.
We wish them the best and hope...
Read moreWe visited from out of town, and this was the first place that showed up on Google for breakfast in Bentonville. I can agree with Google - it was a great recommendation! It was reassuring when we arrived that the parking lot was nearly full. Lots of locals = good sign! The restaurant is open, bright, and inviting. We were warmly greeted, and the staff was very friendly. The bagels are nicely situated up front behind glass, so you can easily see the choices.
My wife decided on two bagels - a french toast and a blueberry, along with strawberry cream cheese. I got the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on an asiago cheese bagel. The sandwich was piping hot and put together perfectly. It was flavorful and juicy. The bagels tasted fresh and along with the cream cheese, they were awesome.
We had a chance to chat with Bill for a few minutes, and he is a very friendly, genuine guy. Business owners like him and his wife deserve to be commended for doing a great job and providing such a great service to the community.
This place is awesome, and we'll be coming back and highly recommend to...
