Daves Cosmic Subs — Restaurant in Berea

Every time I come into this place, the staff is super behind on orders and I have to wait a long amount of time for a sandwich. Every. Single. Time. Even with the new management they’re claiming to have, the same thing is happening. Most recently, there were four people working in the back (more than usual) and the wait was still ridiculously long. I really don’t know why this place is so popular.

I initially was going to hold off on posting this, but this needs to be known for any potential customers. I kept giving Dave’s chances because the vibe and atmosphere are better than most other sandwich shops nearby, but it’s getting old at this point and it doesn’t look like it’s changing anytime soon. They’re making sandwiches, it’s not a five-star restaurant. I cannot understand what is always taking them so long.

To add onto this, they’re supposed to be selling french fries now. Mind you, this is being advertised in the restaurant. I come to the register, and I’m told that they’re not actually being sold yet and the ads are just being posted “early”. Needless to say…they’ve officially lost a customer. Proceed with caution if you decide...

I went into Dave’s Cosmic Subs in Berea for dinner on a Sunday evening. There was only one staff member working which would have been fine had my sub not been very disappointing. I got the turkey club. The bread was so soggy and overloaded with the Dave’s sauce, the lettuce was completely wilted and some of it was browned, then the meat and cheese was just sat right on top of the sandwich and came off when I open the sub wrapper to eat it. It will probably be awhile before I come back to Dave’s Cosmic subs. These subs have always been so good in the past. I was so looking forward to this sub for dinner and it was so disappointing that my husband is going out to get us both something else for dinner. Crystal the general manager is absolutely awful. Had the store closed yesterday with no signs that it would be closed then today try to call and make an order and she was rude on the phone hung up on me multiple times do not go to this location. I would highly recommend anywhere else but here. Will reach out to corporate because I’m pretty sure she’s the reason why no one wants to work there. Lets be clear I got there at 5:50 pm on 11.10.25 and the doors were shut and still were shut at 6:30 after I went to Boss chicken and left.
