We waited for over 10 minutes to be seated in restaurant FULL of empty tables. Then were taken to 3 tables where she kept saying something about silverware and finally to the 2nd to last table on the outer wall in the back of the restaurant. Our server was very nice. We told her about our seating experience. She took our drink order. We got an emergency call during which she tookand our order. I took my medications out as the call continued. We noticed other tables being seated and oddly enough they were the tables we visited upon on our way to our table. 45 minutes later we still had no food yet the tables that arrived at least 15 minutes after we ordered had their food. We felt this was totally unacceptable so we left. I stopped at the front and offered to pay for our coffee and tea and let the poor girl at the desk know what had happened and we were informed our food was up by our server who was at the window getting our food. Our order was a club sandwich and a breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage. We were told we did not need to pay for the beverages and left. We are both diabetic and needed to eat and take our meds. After we were down the road a few miles I realized I had left my medications for that dose on the table. We pulled into a sheets and got some food there. It was far past the time we were due to take the medications, including the insulin shot my husband took 120 minutes before we arrived at the Sheets in anticipation of eating a meal at Dennys. All this delayed our trip. We arrived at our destination far later than we planned which caused us to miss out on some of the plans we had. NOT HAPPY...cost us far more time energy and a dose of some very...
Read moreThe waitress gets 5 stars. She did EVERYTHING RIGHT! She did everything she could with what she had. It was the middle of the night on July 4th (by that time, technically, it was the 5th). I saw her write down my order. I heard her read it to the cook twice. I heard her read my wife's order to the cook twice more, despite writing it down clearly. Now. Let's talk about the cook. As far as I recall, a cook with a beard, ESPECIALLY one that big, is required to wear a net over it, as well as a hair net. (He had neither) he slowed our orders up by asking the solitary waitress dumb questions about the orders, that she had written clearly on the ticket. If the cook has a question about an order, he can ask the waitress quietly! I should not be able to hear him from the other side of the dining room. One last thing: How on Earth would the cook think he knew what I ordered and how I want it, when he didn't speak to me?! He actually used the words "No. What he wants is..." Furthermore, they seemed to be without a lot of things, like spinach, vegetarian burger patties, English muffins, icecream, and a couple of other things that a restaurant will only run out of, by poor management (manager didn't order things). I overheard an order that had been placed online, the majority of which was not able to be fulfilled, because of broken equipment and lack of supplies. Web Design Fail. If the icecream/shake machine is broken, the website shouldn't accept an order for the item. Out of vegetarian burger patties? Unable to order this item. These are reasonably simple programming issues that should have been addressed, especially during...
Read moreI wish I could give zero Stars, this place was the worst Denny's I have ever been to In My Life. The waitress with a huge neck tattoo was just standing there looking at people waiting to be seated chatting with her friend there was 90-year-old ladies standing there waiting to be seated and more than half the restaurant was empty. At the door we were greeted with an eye roll an exasperated sigh and a how many. Our waitress (not tattoo neck) seems like she was pretty new she told us it would take a while to get our meal and it did but she was polite and a pretty good waitress we'll say she was the reason for even getting one star. We finish our meal go to pay the bill and end up standing there for 20 minutes waiting for someone to bring a pen to sign the bill that's when we seen the tattooed neck waitress eat a piece of bacon off of someone's plate she was about to serve them and then I witnessed her bare hand strawberries out of container and throw them on somebody's waffle it was really disgusting, I wish I could take back eating their food after seeing that. So then still waiting I decide to ask for a pen to sign the bill and that's when the tattoo neck lady shouted at me that I was being rude and disrespectful in the meantime she's just standing there looking at us waiting in line. This Denny's should be embarrassed how they treat their customers and their food safety, coronavirus is still going on and this lady's eating bacon off of plates and grabbing strawberries with her bare hands and throwing them on waffles...
