Teaching at South Jersey Ballet School for the past several years under the direction of Andrea Duffin has been an absolute honor and a privilege. Andrea has dedicated her entire life to ballet, but better yet she has dedicated herself to teaching children the very best practices. As Andrea's rehearsal assistant, I work with her very closely. I am constantly blown away by her knowledge of the body, the history of dance, her creative choreography, and her positive rapport with children.

I have been a ballerina my whole life and have stepped foot in many other local studios over the years. Nothing compares to the caliber of training the dancers at SJBS recieve. Her dancers not only shine onstage, but reach a level of professionalism that is truly so rare for a local ballet school. The training at SJBS is on par with big name professional schools all over the country--I am saying this as someone who spent many years training at those professional schools.

I feel lucky to teach dancers of all ages at SJBS. Aside from the wonderful training Andrea gives, I must mention the size of the beautiful studios in this school. Again, it is rare to see a local school with the quality of the marley floors SJBS offers, as well as the giant rehearsal spaces.

The past 7 years that I have spent at South Jersey Ballet have been the best of my life. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for all that Mrs. Andrea Duffin and her staff have helped me to achieve, and all the amazing opportunities that she has provided me with. I will forever cherish the memories and lessons I have learned under her instruction, both in ballet and in life. Mrs. Andrea Duffin has been such a powerful and inspirational person for me to look up to, her passion is contagious and her love for this art form is truly admirable. South Jersey Ballet is a second-home to me. My time at the school has shaped me into the person and dancer that I am today, and has opened doors for me that otherwise would never have been explored. As I look to begin my dancing career, I know that nothing would have been possible without the guidance I have received from Mrs. Duffin at South Jersey Ballet. As I look to start my own children in ballet (and dance in general) in another state, I am hoping I can find something even close to this! I spent my whole childhood and teen years with Andrea Duffin at the school and theater. This place was absolutely a second home for all of us. The environment was nurturing and positive, disciplined for those wanting to strive for a professional career, and so rewarding on so many levels including personal growth and growth as a dancer. The staff, professional guest teachers, and performances were absolutely amazing to experience and straight up fun. I will always look back on these years as the most rewarding, and I cherish all the memories I made at this studio.
