The Paleta Bar Bernalillo — Restaurant in Bernalillo

I usually have a great experience at the paleta bar. But today’s experience was awful. I walked in and asked for a banana and strawberry fruit cup and was told they were out of bananas which is fine so then I asked for just a small fruit cup with strawberries and chocolate and almonds, too, which I was told that she couldn’t give me just a fruit cup with strawberries because she was trying to save as much as she could for the rest of the week, mind you it’s Tuesday. She said I had to mix it with another fruit, that I couldn’t do just one fruit and I said no thank you. And she said well bye then, so I left and she lost out on a sale. She was so rude it makes me sad because I love going there and my family loves going there. But this experience really makes me think if I want to go back or not. I know that what she told me is a lie because I’ve gotten just one fruit before and it was fine. I’m very disappointed with her not having any...

So I’ve been coming to paleta bar locations for awhile now because they make a good fresas con crema but lately the past few times my wife and I have gone it’s been steadily going down hill quality wise, but tonight was the WORST I’ve ever had it was inedible for both my wife’s and the one I ordered. The strawberries where old and mushy with a horrible sour taste definitely on the verge of rotting as well as when they prepare the strawberries they have been leaving a good portion of the stem so every other bite was hard and sour and we both ended up throwing $20 dollars worth of fresas con crema away. I would’ve told them in person but we just got them to go. So please check quality control before you serve someone rotting strawberries in a cup masked with sweet crème thinking that would ever go unnoticed. Probably won’t be back after this because I’m not going to waste more money just to throw it away...

We went in for ice cream and were asked if we had masks. Since we did not, the girl behind the counter offered to serve us outside. She went above and beyond and could have just asked us to leave since we don't wear face diapers.

Unfortunately this will be our last trip here since the owner/manager of this location bends over for the government and forces his employees to comply with ridiculous rules.

We cannot support a business that does not believe in the American dream and freedom of choice. It's people like this that will cause us to lose our freedoms if we don't stand up for...
