3BB Cafe — Restaurant in Bethany Beach

This place used to be my absolute fav. I bought a hat and everything! Unfortunately they’ve gone downhill as they’ve gotten more popular. They got rid of the Berry Good smoothie and replaced it with one that isn’t nearly as good. Their prices are getting out of control ($2 for a tablespoon of peanut butter LOL). They just tried to charge me $1 per cup for extra cups to split up our smoothie bowls amongst our kids. When I asked why they said “well the owners are very environmentally conscious”…. More like capitalist? If they were that environmentally conscious they wouldn’t serve literally all of their products in plastic.

Perhaps worst of all is that in order to meet demand as they’ve grown, they now premake the base to all their smoothie bowls and then put them in the freezer until your order. So now the base of your smoothie bowl is this gross frozen block of Italian ice-like substance rather than a fresh smoothie with toppings on it.

Was more than happy to see this legit gem of a coffee shop open up in Fenwick Island just about a year ago. My family and I vacation here often and I need my daily coffee/espresso! Their beans are top quality, never have been dissatisfied in any of the coffee products. My wife and kids have had their smoothies before and they love them as well. A nice small selection of baked goods is also a great option. The shop itself is quaint with a ton of character. I love their record player and the fact that every time we walk into this store, they have a great album spinning on it! One of my most recent stops there was the best experience there ever... my daughter was with me and the crew there working that day absolutely made her day by complimenting her cool t-shirt and new skateboard. My family has been coming to Bethany Beach for decades. We have frequented this fudge shop many times and had positive experiences. No more! I miss when it was Fudge Factory. Ever since they became 3BB it just hasn’t been the same, and it’s even worse this year. On our weeklong stay, we went here twice. The first time, the guy waiting on us stiffed us on our pound of fudge, leaving us with .9 of a pound, yet charging us for the full pound. The second time, the line was out the door (for ice cream, which is in front of the shop, while fudge has been moved to the back). In the fudge line, there was an elderly couple in front of us that took forever to figure out what they wanted. Then, the employee taking orders in the fudge line completely ignored us and walked away! After waiting so long to begin with! Terrible customer service. I’m done...
