i should preface by saying: if chipotle didn't exist, i'd probs give cava a 4/5
it's yummy for sure; there's a reason i kept trying to give cava's a chance if i'm hungry and found myself near one. i'm not surprised ppl think this is better than chipotle. for me, it's about the same taste-wise, but i rarely see cava's around, so i guess if i considered these two places equal, i'd probably go to cava if i had the choice (since chipotle is so common)
unfortunately...aside from taste, these places aren't equal....chipotle cava, and it's not even close lmaooo.
main issue is value; i'm not even joking when i say that when i ask for the corn, i'm pretty sure they give me literally 8 kernels. not surprising, the spoons for all the sides are small af. you can get double the non-grains food from chipotle without even trying; and if you're not embarrassed to bug the workers a bit ("can i get extra _"), i wouldn't even be surprised if chipotle came out to triple the non-grains food. AND chipotle is cheaper.
there's a reason why i put the "non-grains" qualifier: cava does match chipotle in terms of grains/greens amount (aka the cheapest ingredients i'm guessing). so you do end up feeling full enough, and tbh the sauces are good enough to carry the meal. so i never really regret getting cava. but at the same time...it's honestly not as healthy as ppl say lol. you're essentially paying 11$+ for delicious sauces over rice/lentils, unless you go ham and add every side (which i end up doing, cuz the side portions are laughable).
notable side issue would be: they...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis has to be one of the most pleasant visits Iāve ever had to any Cavas. Today was my first ever visit to this location. I arrived during the lunch rush. My bowl had one incorrect topping that I did not ask for. It was apparently the first day for one of their new hires and they had mistaken my choice of topping for another. Rather than just replacing my bowl, the manager pulled the team member to the side to address the mistake in the most professional and friendly manner I have ever seen. They then proceeded to replace my bowl and made sure that I was satisfied before leaving. All of this was in the middle of the rush, most places wouldāve just replaced my bowl and moved on about their day. The staff at this location definitely made it feel personal and friendly. Their interaction made me want to eat here even more knowing that they are so professional and precise when it comes to their customers. They went above and beyond to make sure that I got the attention I need...
