This place definitely does NOT deserve a 4.8. Iāll try to be optimistic here. The cashier was very friendly, and the drink was ready in around 2 mins, two things that are essential to a shop. However, the drink was terrible. I have never tasted something so watered down to the point where it LOOKS like mango milk tea, but tastes like water with a hint of sweetness. I have no idea how they were able to make a drink look great, and taste like water, that alone is impressive. The boba itself is pretty decent and chewy, but no reason to rush here. The atmosphere of the shop was really weird as well, with what seems like random chairs sitting around at tables, a fish tank with a dire need of cleaning, and a TV playing Minecraft videos? Not sure what the mood they were going for was, but it sure didnāt work.
Again, I really hate crapping on places like this, but itās a push to improve their product, in order to become what could be a staple of Bethesda in the future.
I donāt recommend this place at all, not worth your time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTeas Me is such an adorable spot!! Went to the Bethesda Farmers Market and was so happy to see they were OPEN after waiting all year for Bubble Tea. They have TVās and are very family friendly so we stayed for an hour to get a break from the heat. I tried 2 different teas and they were delish! Everyone is so friendly - a very special new spot in the heart of Bethesda. Lots of free street parking and the public parking lot was across the street ( Free on Sundays). Handicap Accessible but they went and took orders and delivered them directly to the customer- she was overjoyed. It felt like a happy family business- very Joyful. I will go again next week and make time for a pedicure next door at The Nail Studio. Kylie and Jet gave us the best service and were very kind to my kids who were ready to go before I was!! Itās hard to find a family spot with toddlers so I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA good start (updated after a second visit) This store just had its grand opening and is a great addition to Bethesda. I did find some room for improvement, but will be back to try another combination.
Bubbles: the right consistency when they open, but they get too soft if you go later in the day. They also don't soak their bubbles in brown sugar so they don't have much flavor.
Tea: The green has hardly any flavor.
Overall I prefer the tea at the Ramen spot, but the hours and location (easier parking) of this would keep me coming back here instead if the quality improves.
Also, I LOVE that they open at 9am on Sundays. It makes sense since they are across the street from the farmers market. As someone who avoids caffeine after noon this makes the location a real draw. I'll be coming back for some 9am bubble...
