As much as I love the local staples like Ledos, Stained Glass, etc... this is hands down my favorite pizza spot in Mo Co and probably the DMV. It also has the best cheesesteak in Bethesda for sure, despite the claims of Peter's Carryout a few blocks over. I've tried other sandwiches here and they're all very good, but for the past couple years I've religiously stuck to either my steak and cheese + fries or a large double pepperoni.
After talking with the owner, he credits the halal ingredients for the taste which serves my pork restriction perfectly. To get an idea of it, I would say the pizza is like a much higher quality version Pizza Boli's style if that makes sense. There was a time that the pizza was slightly overdone and it was STILL pretty delicious.
My second favorite pizza place in the area is coincidentally around the corner. M & N's, another phenomenal halal spot. But they're a bit more expensive and their sandwiches are nowhere near as good as Aden. Out of the dozen restaurants focusing on pizza in downtown Bethesda, these two are the kings in my...
Read moreWent to Aden not last month or so with my family. Ordered wings, shawarma with rice, and beef kabob with rice.
Wings Big, crispy outside, juicy inside. Our only suggestion: please also have plain wings, that means unseasoned. We ordered plain wings with no sauce but the wings are already seasoned/marinated somehow, so they leave a trace of spices in the meat. Our kids struggled to eat them.
Shawarma Lots of shredded meats. I wasn't prepared for that. Delicious. Rice also taste good and lots of them. I think the menu is meant for 2 people. There is no way 1 person could finish the entire box in one sitting. It served me 2.5x meals I think.
Beef kabob Tender beef chunks, very delicious. Generous amount. If I recall correctly there were like 8 beef chunks. Rice came like a mountain also. My wife loved it. Also ended up being 2.5x meals.
For the price, the food is on point imho. Taste is good. We'd love to go back but now must think before we order because we'll be stuck with 1 menu for at least...
Read moreThe food was pretty decent. I hadn't tried falafel before, and it was good. It was served with hummus and a tomato sauce, both of which were also good and well seasoned, though the tomato sauce didn't look super fresh. Also got a Alfredo chicken pizza, probably the best thing we ate there. Baklava was the worst part unfortunately, it was stale and crunchy. The service was really good, the woman who took my order was friendly and the food came out fast! I would recommend if you're looking for a quick,...
