I have been to this restaurant over a dozen times. The food has always been amazing. This time my experience was something unimaginable! This was my first time ordering takeout. I usually dine in, I was greeted by the manager on duty and hostess Jenny. I ordered the pork with chicken special w/jasmine rice. I asked her what type of chicken came in the meat she said is either bone in or bone out. At that time, I assume bone in was dark meat so I requested bone in. When my food came I realize I receive the white meat which I am not a fan of. I asked Jenny was it possible to have dark meat she told me that I never requested dark meat just bone in. This very simple fixable situation escalated very quickly!!! I said I would like dark meat she started it would be extra. I explained money wasn’t an issue and re-stayed what I wanted. Jenny expressed that she was very busy as I was trying to get my order corrected at that time she began ignoring me and taking orders around me. She was rolling her eyes, not listening and verbally and physically showing her signs of frustration towards me And continuously say that she’s very busy. I believe she was obviously inexperience and couldn’t tolerate pressure of a complaint and took it as a personal attack against her. She was not able to be professional polite or problem solve as a manager. Her behavior was humiliating towards me. She increasingly became very rude and arrogant towards me. At that time, I ask to for a name of another manager or general manager. Jenny said I would need to come back another time to get that. I asked for a refund she said it was too much of a bother and a inconvenience to refund a credit card. I was infuriated but never yelled, pointed or used profanity. I started stopping random staff walking by asking for help since Jenny had walked away and stopped acknowledging me. A gentleman staff asked me what I wanted I told him and he returned same exact order with white meat that I didn’t want. When I start to explain again he started to shaking abs turned pink. He was angry and said he’s worked in the restaurant and this is dark meat that white meat. And started pointing his finger as a shame on me and pointing to Jenny. He then stated he is in the restaurant business nit me and knows the difference between white meat and dark meat. At that time. I asked Jenny again to just please refund me. This whole encounter was over 35 minutes long and also humiliating being the only non Asian person in the restaurant. People stared looked down at me and pointed Please note Chinese was being spoken the entire time around me and about me! which is...
Read moreLike so many others who have written reviews for this place, I too had a horrible dining experience. My wife, her sister, Aunt and I visited on a Monday evening for dinner. We were seated and given menus. It took a while for a server to come over to take our order but, he hardly spoke any English and was unable to answer our questions about the menu items. We asked if there was another server who might be able to explain the food we were interested in more clearly. We were not rude to this person but, needed to be able to communicate with the server better. About 5 minutes later another server came by and did speak better English; still not great but, better. We placed our order and waited for the food to arrive. We were never asked if we wanted to order any drinks, weren't given silverware; etc. We did notice that the Asian customers were treated much nicer than non-Asian customers. At first I thought it was our imagination but, after sitting there for a while waiting for our food it became very apparent. The food finally arrived; again no offer to take a drink order. No one ever stopped back to see if we needed anything, like the meal; etc. We had to flag a server down to get the check and, when it was brought, it was practically thrown at my wife's Aunt. Normally we are very good tippers as my wife works as a server at one of the casinos in Atlantic City but, for this meal and the poor service we received, we tipped the bare minimum. On the way out my wife told the host about our displeasure with how we were treated and he couldn't have cared less. Since the restaurants in the casino lease the spaces in most casinos, if I was in charge of lease renewals for the property I would not renew their lease. I would not want an establishment in my casino that had so many bad reviews from unhappy diners. I would never recommend this place and will...
Read moreI have been to this restaurant quite a few times. The servers and receptionist were never friendly nor courteous. The quality of foods are just so so. Prices are higher than outside Chinese restaurants. Since most people who eat here use casino comp dollars to pay the bills, so you can’t complain too much. The restaurant has two sides, the right side used to be for eating soup noodles or light meals. The left side is for full meals or dinner. Today I only want to have a soup noodles quick meals so I sit down on one of the table in the right side of the restaurant. There were couple tables customers were eating in the right side of the restaurant. For few minutes no server come to take order. Then all of a sudden the receptionist yelled at me saying I am not supposed to sit there and there’s no tables is available in the restaurant. I get up and ask her what about take out order. She ignored me and didn’t answer my question. I walked away to other restaurant in the casino. The workers at this restaurant is notorious bad manners. I also noticed one thing. In the past when I ordered take out foods at this restaurant the portion is usually smaller and quality is usually worse...
