First of all, I do not blame the kids working behind the counter. They were polite and really tried to do their best to fulfill my order. My boyfriend and I went to try this newer place in town and since it’s open later than some of the other ice cream shops nearby. I have dietary restrictions, and I try to avoid gluten and dairy. I noticed they had signage about gluten-free and dairy-free options on both their menu and the walls, which made me think this would be a good fit. When we got there, I asked about vegan flavors, I was told they only had onez… vanilla. Ok, no biggie, I can doctor that up with some toppings. I also asked about gluten-free waffle cones, but they said no, they only have gluten-free bubble waffles. Since bubble waffles seemed to be their specialty, I decided to try it. My boyfriend ordered a milkshake and received his in about five minutes. My order, on the other hand, took about 35 minutes. The staff explained that the gluten-free waffles have to be made from scratch and that they were having some trouble with the batter sticking to the waffle maker. They had to try making it two or three times, and I was close to just asking for the ice cream by itself for everyone’s peace of mind. But then the order finally came out, it wasn’t the bubble waffle that was mentioned but a regular Belgian-style waffle. It looked nice, and since I was tired of waiting, I accepted it. On the way home, though, I noticed while eating it in the car that the center was almost completely raw. I stopped eating it, but I still ended up with a stomach ache that carried into the morning. Again, I truly don’t fault the staff, they tried to make it right, but I don’t think the business should be advertising gluten-free options so prominently, with a decal on the wall that says “Gluten-free? we got you!”, if it’s that difficult for both the employees and customers to actually get what’s promised, especially when the order cost $12!

Our trip to Wondaffel was underwhelming to say the least. Seems like they have potential to wow their customers but unfortunately that was not our experience. I wanted to create my own Leige Waffle that includes three toppings. They were going to charge me an extra dollar for strawberries and an extra dollar for Nutella. So that was a bit confusing because the price was posted on their menu for around $10. I decided not to pay extra for toppings that were included in creating your own and just opted for their Leige berry waffle, which included a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a waffle, strawberries, blue berries and raspberry syrup. My waffle was hard and cold with barely any syrup. Ice cream was good. My boyfriend order a fruity pebbles milk skate that came 100% watery, no milkshake consistency at all and was just topped with a tiny scoop of fruity pebbles on top instead of being mixed in. He was also charged an extra dollar to add fruity pebbles and instead he got a watery, vanilla milkshake with barely any fruity pebbles on top. I love Batch Creamery but some adjustment definitely need to be made here at Wondaffle.

Good! I liked their Ice Cream Waffle stuff. It was good. This place has a nice environment. There are fun arcade machines to keep you busy as you’re waiting for your ice cream. The staff greeted us and were very friendly. Answered our questions. The ice cream bubble waffle came with 2 scoops and 3 toppings. Seems like a reasonable quantity of food, however, it was definitely a little overpriced in my opinion. The place has the potential to become absolutely great. Besides the leaking ice cream cup, my only small complaint was that they didn’t make their waffle fresh for our order. They already made their waffles previously, and only reheated it, making the quality of the waffle poor, hard on the outside and chewy from the inside. I really didn’t expect this since their name is literally “Wondaffle = Wonderful + Waffle”. So as much as I would like to give this place a 5 star, there are so many small changes this place can make to maximize their potential. I may think about eating here again, but it won’t be my top priority. But since this is a “trendy” place, I would recommend people try it at least once.

If you’re looking for a spot that takes dessert to a whole new level, Wondaffle is your go-to destination! This place is a dream come true for anyone who believes waffles and ice cream were meant to be together. The waffles are perfectly crisp on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside, creating that ideal texture that makes every bite feel like a mini celebration. And let’s not forget the ice cream—rich, creamy, and just begging to be paired with that perfect waffle base.

It’s a place where flavor combinations are endless, and you can get as creative or classic as you want. The vibe? Fun, relaxed, and filled with the sweet promise of a dessert experience unlike any other. Whether you’re in the mood for something indulgent or just craving a treat to lift your spirits, Wondaffle has you covered. It’s the kind of place that leaves you smiling, satisfied, and maybe even planning your next visit before you’ve finished your first bite.

Big shoutout to Manny and Rick for blessing the neighborhood with Wondaffle! You’ve officially leveled up our waffle and ice cream game, and we’re here for it. Whether it’s the crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside waffles or the ridiculously good ice cream flavors, every visit is a treat. Thanks for making dessert time an adventure—we’ll be back for more (probably way too often). Keep the sweetness coming!
