I tried this restaurant based on people's recommendation and reviews, but I was totally disappointed, and I think alot of these people who gave 5 and 4 stars haven't tried a good Persian food. First of all, the food was edible, but not memorable. The food was almost flavorless, and the yogurt juice (Dogh) was bad because I could tell that she mixed yogurt with water and she called it " Homemade Dogh". Second, the Barg was not tender and also there was far too much butter in the rice, and surprisingly her food was expensive. I mean if you pay $100 for 2people you gonna expect to get good quality Persian food; however, her food didn't worth $100. When compared to other restaurants in Los Angeles, this is one of the worst. I've been to many good Persian restaurants in the Valley, Beverly Hills, and Orange County, but this one isn't worth the money. You can try this restaurant if you want to waste your money. Otherwise, there are better options in Los Angeles, including Farsi Caffe in Westwood, Shikarchi, Showle, Shiraz in the Valley, Raffi in Glendale, and Caspian in Orange County. The owner who I assume was a lady, was not nice to customers. I would not...
Read moreUpdate: stopped in on a visit to town, the soups were amazing, the blend of seasoning reminded me of home cooked meals i had in the Middle East. The stew was a pleasant surprise, it came with a large bowl of rice to mix it with, my rive dish was a perfect blend of spices and vegetables, a very vegan option
Small but tastefully decorated, inside and outside seating, enough diversity on the menu but not so much that the entree is pre-made and frozen or refrigerated. I had the rice with currants, dates, raisins, lentils and chicken, the portions we were served were large and the rice was freshly made. The other entrees were equally ample. My mint tea and the Persian tea were served in glass as middle eastern tea should. The owners were friendly, we sat and and had an enjoyable conversation without feeling rushed. It has an authentic vibe and I highly...
Read moreI often pass by this place. Today was just such a day, I waited in line at the neighbor's cafe and sat down at their table from the edge, they didn't have a soul, it was absolutely empty. Not even a minute passed, a woman came out and began to be rude to me, I didn't even have time to justify myself or apologize. I said I'm only here for a minute and I'm about to leave. She started shouting something like "I don't care, get out of here, this is my cafe" I didn't do anything criminal. She could have asked me politely, I didn't want to disturb anyone. I'm shocked by such rudeness, she didn't even ask why I was here, I could become a client, but never from that day on. However, I understand why they are...
