My dining experience at The Terrace restaurant in Maybourne Beverly Hills was an absolute delight. The restaurant, nestled within the luxurious confines of the hotel, offered an exquisite blend of ambiance, service, and gastronomic artistry that left an indelible impression.
The culinary journey began with the Grilled Octopus. Perfectly tender and beautifully presented, the octopus melted in my mouth, leaving behind a symphony of flavors. It was the perfect initiation into what was to follow.
Then, the Linguini Pasta was presented. An indulgent dish that expertly balanced subtlety and complexity of flavors. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill and creativity, highlighting the delicate texture of the pasta and the robust flavors of the accompanying sauce.
The pièce de résistance was the Salmon. Perfectly cooked, it boasted a delicate crisp on the outside and flaked away effortlessly on the inside, embodying a flavor profile that was both delicate and rich. Each bite was a joy, making this a dish I would highly recommend to any seafood lover.
However, the standout of my experience at The Terrace was breakfast. The Huevos Rancheros was a delightful way to start the day. It was well-prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious, delivering a burst of flavors with every bite.
Aside from the exceptional dishes, the ambiance of The Terrace further enhanced the dining experience. Elegant and inviting, the restaurant has successfully cultivated an atmosphere that marries comfort and luxury seamlessly.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive, contributing to a dining experience that felt personal and relaxed.
In conclusion, my culinary journey at The Terrace in Maybourne Beverly Hills was a complete sensory delight. It is not just a meal, but a true culinary experience that elevates dining to an art form. It's definitely a must-visit for any food connoisseur in...
Read moreMy wife and I visited The Terrace to celebrate our anniversary, and unfortunately, it ended up being a far from pleasant experience. We felt incredibly rushed at the start of our meal, and later we were essentially ignored and left waiting for long stretches, especially toward the end of our meal.
To make matters worse, a 20% auto-gratuity was added to our bill for just the two of us, with zero prior mention of it anywhere. Not on the menu, not by the server, and certainly not earned based on the level of service. The gratuity charge was buried in the fine print of the bill, and we only noticed it when we were closing out. Given how slow and poor the service was, this felt not just unfair but deceptive.
I reached out multiple times (three emails) to express my concerns and request a resolution, but I received no response. It is extremely disappointing to be ignored after such a frustrating experience. I attempted to resolve the issue directly, but the lack of communication only added to my dissatisfaction.
As a result of both the poor service and the lack of follow-up, I won’t be returning to The Terrace, and I’d advise others to carefully consider their options before dining here. Service and customer care should always be a priority, and unfortunately, The Terrace has failed on...
Read moreGet your protractor ready because I'm coming at this review from all angles! The first angle is an unfortunate one (probably obtuse). We arrived on time for our Friday 6:00 pm reservation. We were promptly seated and served Pellegrino. Then our server disappeared. Then 6:30 came. No server. Then 6:45. No server. The clock then struck 7:00 pm and our server was nowhere in sight. If this were an audition for the lead covert agent in the next Tom Clancy spy thriller, they would have gotten the part. After 64 minutes, the ordeal of patience came to an end when the server arrived at 7:04 pm.
I am very pleased to report that the food took a much better angle than the service. The crisp leaves of the Caesar salad covered a delightful surprise of guacamole that actually provided a welcome and unique textural contrast. Both the salmon and the branzino were fresh (which is not surprising given that they had both probably just hatched in the Atlantic Ocean when we first sat down at our table) and contained moist centers beneath flaky and well-seasoned crusts.
Bottom line: While I've waited for less time at the DMV than I did for our server to arrive and take our order, the food was far superior to the DMV and probably warrants a visit. 4 stars. Just bring a...
