Full disclosure, I found this place on doordash, so I can not attest to the atmosphere or table service, but they got my special order entirely correct, and the food was spectacular! Great breakfast sandwich with substantial thick cut perfectly cooked bacon, an egg cake which was almost like a super soft fluffy little quiche amounting to 2 large eggs, and fun umami flavor surprises. I also got the ban mi sliders, which were PERFECT with that fresh celantro, cucumber, carrot, and tender grilled chicken bits. They were so cutesie, and very demure. Honestly, lady like. But the stand out were the huge delicious popovers! At the same price you'd pay for two dinky mass produced donuts you could get two of these monuments to breakfast confection of bubbly dough, filled with cream cheese drizzle and covered in a house made blueberry compote. I was in heaven when I opened that take out box, not knowing what to expect. Everything was fresh, not just the ingredients and the cooking, but the menu as well. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot!

The Biddeford sandwich I had at Catface Cafe is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had this year. The addition of maple syrup was pure genius and elevated every bite. This was my first visit to Catface Cafe, and I’m already looking forward to going back. If you’re in the Biddeford-Saco area, I can’t recommend this spot enough. The cafe has a cozy, quaint vibe that’s perfect for unwinding — I spent a solid hour there with a book — yet it’s also surprisingly spacious. They offer lunch and breakfast options. The food was excellent, and I’m looking forward to exploring more of their menu. I also have to shout out the staff. They asked for my name when I placed my order, and from that point on, for every interaction — whether they were bringing my coffee or checking on my food — they called me by my name. It’s such a small gesture, but it made the experience feel so personal and welcoming. Thank you, Catface Cafe, for the amazing food and even better hospitality.

Adorable, bright, sunny cafe with a community table for large gatherings/sitting with fellow diners and window bar seating for single diners. Students were congregating at the large table with their computers while having breakfast :). I had the ‘Granite Point 10’ breakfast sandwich (Vegan option w/Tofu) which was delicious. It would be even better if the soft roll it was served on was toasted or grilled. Next time I’ll order it on toast or a bagel. Friendly service, great menu and coffee. Highly recommend!

I do not leave negative reviews just felt like this was necessary. I’ve tried Catface Cafe three times in last year or so and the experience is always disappointing. The coffee was very good this last time I went in. Very high prices for low quality food. The owner who does the cooking seems overwhelmed and is paying more attention to the people who are coming in and waiting for ordered items than the preparation of the food itself. He doesn’t cook the food in the order it was placed and seems to make food first for people he knows or just randomly. I understand that some items take longer to prepare than others but that was not the case today. The people who came in two orders behind me got the same thing I did but got their food way before I did. It has taken 25+ minutes every time I’ve been in to get two coffees and two egg sandwiches. All the eggs and meat are cooked ahead of time and are just reheated when the food is ordered. I am aware that it is a common practice to par cook some ingredients ahead of time to make final preparation faster in a small kitchen. That being said the final product shows a lack of experience in doing this correctly. The bacon is not crispy and the fluffy egg is over cooked by the time it’s finished. The premade eggs are also kept out on top of the oven. These really should be kept in a refrigerator until an order comes in and then taken out and heated which I assume is being done in a microwave. The general attitude of the staff is snobby. I would not recommend this place and will not...

We ordered two sandwiches and an iced latte to go. The Bidderford (egg, sausage, cheddar, gochujang aioli, maple) and the Maine Crab Melt (pimento cheese, Maine crab, bacon, lettuce, tomato).

In hindsight, I wish I had tried the vegeterian options - New Englander (garlic hummus, cucumber, feta, pickled red onion, fig reduction, micros), or, the Granite Point (marinated tofu, avocado, tomato, harissa yuzu sauce, cilantro).

Back to our experience at the Catface Cafe......The server was very pleasant. The food took some time to be prepared since each order was prepared from scratch. We did not mind the wait.

The interior is very comfortable, and the restroom was very clean. We noticed quite a few regulars come in, ordr their "usual". Some of them were enjoying the seating at the outdoor area.

In complete disclosure, I had earlier posted a not very flattering review of how disappointed we were since there was no "crab meat" in "The Maine Crab Melt."

Kudos to Tyler, a partner at the cafe, for immediately reaching out and clarifying the ingredients and how the sandwich is made. It is made with shredded crab meat that is mixed with pimento, cheese, etc. He clarified that based on how crab is used, the sandwich is a "crab melt" and not a "crab roll." That made us change our view of the sandwich. That's why we believe the rating of food is about 4.25.

Tyler's pleasant demenor, his pride in the staff, and his knowledge of food are commendable. We plan to visit the Catface again when we are...

Catface is exactly what Biddeford didn't know it needed.

The name might catch you off guard (yes, it's a reference to a tree scar—and a clever nod to the historic mill buildings around here), but once you’re inside, it just makes sense. The space is warm, cool, and cozy all at once—like the kind of place where you can either get work done or catch up with a friend for hours without realizing it.

The food? Genuinely excellent. Way beyond your average coffee shop fare—fresh, thoughtful, and clearly made with love (or at least a really great recipe and someone who knows what they’re doing). You’ll want to order more than you planned.

The staff is efficient, friendly, and always on it. No pretentious coffee energy here...just good people making great drinks and making you feel welcome.

One of the best parts? The owner is there, actually there—not just in a back room counting coffee beans. He’s out talking to guests, checking in, creating the kind of environment that makes you want to come back. It’s rare, and it shows.

Catface feels like it belongs in a much bigger city, but somehow fits perfectly into Biddeford. It’s the kind of place that makes you glad you stumbled in—and makes it really hard not to come back the next day. You'll likely quickly become a regular,...
