I'm a little disappointed with the Malai Kofta. Anything to do with Malai usually is sweet, and I ordered this dish for the very same reason. But it wasn't sweet at all. My friend took the Chicken Do Peyaza, and he said it was a bit on the spicy side. My other friend took the sea fish thali (photo attached), and I tried the rice pudding from the thali. That was pretty good, actually. PS: This jewel of India has a namesake in NH, close to where I live. But this one in Maine has nothing to do with the NH one. This restaurant has two branches, both being in Maine.

It is the best Indian food I have had in Maine. Tried all the Indian places in Portland and this is better than them all. The food is amazing. It is definitely worth the trip to Biddeford. They do have a sister restaurant north of Portland, but I al yet to try that. The food is closer to North Indian dishes. Their thali is worth a special mention, a little pricey but for the quality and quantity, I would have it. Tried the Veg thali, palak paneer, the malai kofta and garlic naan.

Amazing. Just simply amazing. If you want good food and big portions this is the place to go. Some say it's pricey but you can split a $16-20 plate between 2-3 people. And speaking of people, everyone there is incredibly nice. And if you want an atmosphere that's welcoming and food that fills your belly ... this is the place to go. Hands down one of the best places to eat in the Biddeford Saco area. Don't get me wrong there are other good places, but this is a must!

This is hands down the worst Indian "Food" experience I have ever had.

I can't comment on the atmosphere, since i didn't go in we did take out.

I can't comment on the service either for the same reason.

What I can comment on is the "Indian Food". I ordered a lamb dish, and my wife ordered a veggie dish. Both were disgustingly salty, so salty that you could barely taste anything, the salt literally burnt your tongue. My lamb dish that was supposed to be "Selected very lean lamb cubes sauteed in ginger onion and day nuts cooked in low-fat homemade yogurt sauce." turned out to be chicken and overcooked chicken at that and tasted like canned cream of chicken soup that had been left on the counter for a week. No Ginger, and no nuts.

The Khumb Mutter veggie dish which had "Fresh baby mushrooms and green peas cooked in golden brown onions and special Indian spices." Had one mushroom slice and no green peas.

Maybe it was a one of, since there were so many good reviews, but I suggest if you get take out from here, you check the food before you leave. Into the compost...

My husband and I eat Indian food everywhere we go, even in Fiji, and we usually don't write reviews. He used to live near Biddeford so he would come here often, then he moved away. We just moved nearby about 19 minutes from them and we find every reason to stop by and get some of their food. They are the best home cook Indian food around. Usually we would ask for extra garlic on garlic naan anywhere we go, but not here. They just know exactly how much garlic to put on their naan. Their saag paneer is out of this world! I love spicy food, so last time we asked and they made us "Indian spice" spicy level. OMG, I was savoring every bites, spicy, full of flavors, and fresh. Not like my husband, I am new with them and I had tried 5 different dishes, I have loved them all. Mind you I am very picky and particular with my food. Their food was so good, we scrapped off every bits out of the containers. We love your food! Thank you for making the best...

We are huge fans of Indian food. We’ve tried scores of Indian restaurants across the USA and in Europe. We never leave bad reviews but this one needs to be shared. There was nobody else in the restaurant at 12:45 on a Saturday. Red flag right there. The waitress was not rude - but cold as stone, very slow, and very inattentive. We ordered Chili chicken which was listed as hot and spicy. Then we chose the hottest spice level on top of that. When we finally got the meal, the dish was - well - horrible. The chicken was in huge chunks and was very tough and chewy. Almost like it was underdone or something. The sauce had zero heat - maybe a 1 out of ten. It was just very bland tomato sauce with a strange sweetness to it. Not good. The naan and soup were fine. The rice was okay. We certainly will NEVER go back to...
