Mancino's Pizza & Grinders — Restaurant in Big Rapids

I'm not from the area and wanted some good pizza. I chose this place over corporate franchise pizza place bc small local places like this usually have bomb pizza. Not only was the pizza not better than a chain, it was the WORST pizza I've ever had. Including frozen. It was dry, chewy, cardboard. Hardly any cheese. Like maybe 1.5 pepperoni per slice. I literally thought the pizza had been left over from the day before and was thrown back in the oven.

I called the store and spoke to someone just to give my polite constructive feedback (I did not ask for a refund as I did not want to waste my time or gas to return it).

The lady I spoke to assured me it was not a reheated pizza but that all their pizzas are made fresh. Which if that's their fresh made product, that's really a worse problem than it being old and reheated.

We also got an order of boneless wings and they had no sauce on them. They were basically compressed chicken nugget balls with some dry sawdust texture breading on the outside that had the spiciness mixed into it. Really terrible also.

We've ordered from Mancino's in Big Rapids, MI three times now. The first time we were a walk in order on Aug. 29th. It took the standard 20-25 minutes for the pizza to be ready and it was great pizza. The second time we ordered online on Sept 25 at about 1pm and asked for it to be ready for pick up at 5pm. We got there just a few minutes past 5pm and they had not even started the pizza yet. We waited the standard 20-25 minutes and the pizza was great. So strike 1 for bad service, but we figured stuff happens so we ordered again on Oct 9 as a phone in order. We were told it would be 20 minutes. We arrived in about 23 minutes and again they had not even started the pizza. They said they could have it ready in 10 minutes. I thought it questionable for it to be ready in 10 minutes, considering they hadn't even started it yet, but they boxed it within 10 minutes. Got the pizza home and it wasn't cooked all the way. So 2 strikes; 1 for bad service and 1 for bad pizza. 3 STRIKES YOU'RE OUT! We will not be spending any more time or money at Mancino's...

Best pizza I've ever had, but the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced from a pizza place. Called over the phone and was greeted by a kind man. I made my order and told him I would be paying by card. He told me I could pay inside, so I thanked him for the notice and hung up. Arrive thirty minutes later I enter the building to immediately get yelled at by who I’m guessing was the manager to leave. I explain that the worker I called said it was fine for me to be inside and was immediately told to leave and call the store from my car. Being nice I left and called from my car to pay only to find out after the order has been made that the two pizzas I ordered would total $39. I payed although upset and had to wait an extra 5 minutes to get my two pizzas and a receipt that only said the total price, and not the individual prices.
