Located perfectly in Birmingham’s growing and acclaimed foodie district, Adios is quite the experience. It’s very clear why Adios was on New York Times top ten list of best bars in America- I’ll explain why it’s accurate: The drinks are INCREDIBLE… nothing over the top and no childish stuff here. You won’t find loud and obnoxious “21 somethings”hogging the bar and wrecking the place, and you won’t have to scream just to speak to the person next to you. This is a bar for those that want to get away from all that. The drinks? Unique and consistent. But this list doesn’t insist on itself. It isn’t trying to be ostentatious- they’re simply GREAT cocktails with and extremely unique twist. And ya know, I’m NOT a tequila kind of man. Not a problem here. The “Sueno Tropical” hit the spot for me. And when I say that, I mean it literally. The Buffalo rock scent and subtle bubble reminded me of my childhood, the cognac reminded me that thankfully I’m an adult in a spot made for adults. Now let’s talk about why this spot deserves a 6th star in atmosphere? It’s all of it. It’s the entire feel to this place. I come with my work friends and we can all sit together in large, couched and comfy areas. The lighting is amazing. The music is never too loud. The feel to this place is elegantly cozy and warm. You just feel relaxed and comfortable here- an exciting bar you can actually still relax in. What a concept… The service is exceptional, too. Never did I find myself needing to find a server/bartender to reorder. They are always on point, regardless of how busy it is. That might actually be the best part about the entire experience- and it IS an experience here.
With drinks out of a Latin fairytale, excellent service, and the most comfortable environment of any bar in Birmingham, Adios is without a doubt a place to put on your “can’t miss” list.
One caveat to note* they do NOT serve food. These drinks will sneak up on you, so prepare to eat...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Adios Bar, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a memorable evening.
First and foremost, let's talk about the drinks. Adios Bar boasts an impressive cocktail menu that left me spoiled for choice. Whether you're a fan of classic concoctions or crave something unique and innovative, Adios has it all. The bartenders are skilled mixologists who craft each drink with precision and care. I tried several cocktails during my visit, and each one was a delightful explosion of flavors. It's safe to say that the drinks at Adios Bar are nothing short of exceptional.
The ambiance and vibes at Adios are equally praiseworthy. The interior decor is trendy and stylish, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The dimmed lighting and cozy seating arrangements make it an ideal spot for both intimate conversations and group gatherings. The music selection adds to the overall experience, creating a lively yet not overpowering background soundtrack. Whether you're looking for a relaxed evening or a place to dance the night away, Adios Bar offers the...
Read moreI was excited when this place first opened due to it being a wonderfully themed bar with a downtown atmosphere. Entirely way overrated. Only a destination because there are not many places to choose from in Birmingham. Multiple visits and the experience is mediocre at its best. From my experiences, it is consistently plagued with poor service, as well as the drinks are watered down and overpriced. I find myself wondering why, as it is not remotely considered a high end destination. If you are plastered and want to spend your money on overpriced watered down drinks with rude service....... This is the place. Best case scenario, you...
