Nestled in the heart of our community, this Japanese-French bakery is a hidden gem that deserves to be celebrated. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked pastries and the warm, welcoming smiles of the staff. The bakery exudes a charming blend of minimalist Japanese aesthetics with a touch of French elegance, making it a perfect spot to savor some of the most beautiful and delicious treats you'll ever experience.
The true magic of this bakery lies in its masterful fusion of Japanese precision and French artistry. Every cake and pastry is a work of art, meticulously crafted with an eye for detail that is nothing short of extraordinary. The cakes are light, airy, and bursting with unique flavors that perfectly balance sweetness and subtlety. One bite and you'll be transported to a world of culinary bliss.
Their cake is a revelation, with layers of delicate sponge, creamy ganache, and a hint of almond that dances on your palate. The yuzu tart is another standout, offering a perfect marriage of tangy citrus and buttery crust, topped with a glossy finish that catches the eye. And don't even get me started on their croissants — they are a marvel of flaky, buttery perfection, with just the right amount of crispiness on the outside and a soft, pillowy interior.
What sets this bakery apart is not just the exquisite quality of their products but also the genuine passion that goes into every creation. The owners are clearly dedicated to their craft, using only the finest ingredients and traditional techniques passed down through generations. This commitment to excellence is evident in every bite.
The customer service is just as impressive as the pastries themselves. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always eager to help you find the perfect treat for any occasion. Whether you're stopping by June for a quick coffee and Last Call for croissant in the morning or ordering a custom cake for a special event, you can expect to be treated like family.
In a world where mass-produced goods often dominate, this locally owned bakery is a refreshing reminder of the beauty and joy that comes from handmade, artisanal craftsmanship. It's a place where tradition meets innovation, and where every visit feels like a special occasion.

Read moreThis place had a high star rating so I chose to come here with out looking at the photos or reviews. Place is cute and clean. Advertisements in the windows make it feel community oriented. I like the transparancy of seeing the items made in front of you. The signage for items was an after thought and doesn't have the same aesthetic of the rest of the shop. The pastries really leave something to be desired. First impression of the pastries... burnt. I was in line and saw how dark they were and never have I seen anything so dark. I think ok well 4.8 stars must still taste good? Ordered a coffee flavored cookie, scroll, cinnamon roll and ham and cheese. They did NOT have coffee or tea? The items under glass although very dark looked really beautiful and very large. My order is taken and my items were taken off a rack next to the register. Which is common in bakeries and I didn't mind. However, the sizes of 2 of the items that were taken off the rack were half the size of the ones displayed under the glass. Again, I dont mind as long as it tastes good. The scroll and the ham and cheese were saturated in grease. Literally dripping out with the first bite of each. Which explains why the size was small they weren't cooked correctly. They were super dark. It was disgusting. That instantly made it an unpleasnt experience. I read through the written reviews after my experience. The very first photo shown all the items in the case are brown, not golden brown, not golden, straight up crispy brown. If I would have seen that before I went I would have gone somewhere else. I saw a response from the bakery saying it was their style? Anyone who is even a novice in pastry baking knows dark brown is not a style of pastry baking it is baking incorrectly leaving a over done outside and a under baked middle. I was really surprised and feel people are trying to build up their own review accounts rather than give an honest review. Or maybe they are friends of the owner/operators? One reviewer said Japanese/French? I lived in Japan for 4 years and spent time in France....
Read moreSimply the best. I'm a big lover of little treats. Admittedly, last call has pretty big treats. Alas I do not discriminate. I love a classic croissant and I landed here January 2023 on my quest to find the best in town. I succeeded there in that quest, but what I didn't know was how fantastic the rest of their offerings would be. My favorite is the morning bun currently, though my husband and I have also tried lots of their offerings including the oatmeal cream pie, coffee roll, cinnamon scroll, almond croissant, kouign amann, cookies, and probably other pastries escaping my mind at the moment. Not a single one has disappointed. I admittedly did not initially understand the price point but now that I've enjoyed their very fine (and substantial) offerings, I completely understand. As many before me have stated, they make what they make and when they sell out, that is it for the day. The shop is quaint and it's cool to see the open work space behind the counter. There's minimal seating but I have on occasion visited with friends and enjoyed a pastry inside. There's a coffee shop next door if you need a beverage. I can't wait to see what Last Call continues to do, and will be supporting them all the way. We're so lucky to have such an elite bakery here in town. Also, be nice to the employees, it's not their fault you got beaten in line and missed out on that particular pastry you were hoping for....
