Le Cornucopia Café — Restaurant in Bisbee

We sat at a 4 top bc the other choice was a 2 top by the kitchen door and bathroom. Server came to table and said, if a 4 top comes in I will have to move you bc you are 2 top” I AM Not Kidding Our mouths were open and I said where is there a 2 top and she actually had to look . So I said to my husband, we’re leaving! Who does that that was the rudest thing I think I’ve ever experienced. I have been a server at a premier resort in Tucson for a lot of years and had I done that to one of our guests I would have been fired and rightly so. Is cornucopia Café that hard up for revenue that they make patrons sit near the kitchen door and the bathroom door. WTH. Walked here for lunch after the Copper Queen mine tour. They're only open for lunch as of this writing, so make sure you put it in your plan for the day!

Fast and efficient service. Both of us got a combo of salad or sandwich with soup.

Hers: Greek salad with creamy chicken artichoke soup. Salad was ENORMOUS despite being the "half" portion for the combo with the soup. Soup was sublime.

Mine: The Clubhouse sandwich with vegan split pea soup. While I liked my soup, the creamy chicken artichoke soup was clearly ahead. Sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a restaurant.

Both meals came with a sliced of fresh bread that was excellent for dipping into our soups.

Shared dessert: Gluten-free white chocolate macadamia cheesecake. An excellent flavor and no crust!

Gosh, so good! The green chili sandwich was so unique and so so good! The soup was great. HOME MADE bread, need I say more?!! Home made cookies and quite the variety of cream and fruit pies and cheesecake! The Greek salad my daughter ordered and the veggie sandwich my son ordered was very pretty to the eye and so very yummy tasting. My cousin got the Turkey sandwich and said it was really good, as well! And the owner, Kevin, so friendly and was so kind to us and our children. When my cousin and our kids first came in I saw the owner sitting at a table in the corner and initially pointed him out to my cousin thinking he looked like a famous rock star, lol. I spoke with him for a moment and would have never been able to tell he was the owner simply by how humble, soft spoken and kind he was! I can't wait to visit Bisbee again for this...
