I’m sorry but… the only reason I’m giving 2 stars is simply because of the fact that the elderly gentleman that took my order by phone was the sweetest! He’s super nice, very welcoming and delightful. I do hope he is being treated as any other employee should and is getting good pay! Other than that, this restaurant deserves a 0 star review. The food is atrocious! I was lured in by the “good reviews” but now I cannot help but feel bad for putting our stomachs and health on the line.
I ordered for pick up, like I mentioned before, the gentleman was very nice and professional. I was told food would be ready within 15 minutes. I had imagined this restaurant would cook up your food fresh, however, when I arrived I was astonished to see that they had food on hot counter display which sort of disappointed me. I ordered a Kids 1 entree and 1 side which was sweet and sour chicken and white rice. 1 order of “King Pao chicken” with fried shrimp, veggies and white rice for sides. And 1 order of Honey BBQ ribs, beef broccoli, “chow Mein” and “fried rice,” and 1 Milk Bubba tea drink.
Food was overpriced for what it turned out to be. The food was cold, and nothing like Chinese food. The fried rice was nasty, very hard and stale, it seemed like it was from a week ago! Beef broccoli was gross, meat seemed like it was boiled, and no sauce, just literally pieces of steak with steamed broccoli. No flavor. The only good thing from my plate was the pork ribs, the chow mein is Angel hair pasta, no chow mein flavor as it should be, no taste. My sons food was okay, not great. My husbands plate, looked gross he did not enjoy one bit. The king pao chicken was hard, no sauce nor good taste, it was horrific. The “fried shrimp” was cooked shrimp straight out of the bag! Nothing amazing about it. And his mixed vegetables were gross, cabbage looked like almost rotten, nothing appetizing. I couldn’t even take a photo of just how nasty this place is.
However, I can say that the only good thing was the service, it is clean in the restaurant but it needs a lot of improvement.
I suspect these these “amazing reviews” judging by names and all, are the owners friends or acquaintances, there’s no way this is a great place to eat. ...
Read moreMy husband and I went here as a late Valentine’s Day celebration and oh my goodness! For starters the couple who were working there are the sweetest and most patient people! This was our first time trying hot pot at this restaurant, first time at this restaurant in general and they were so very helpful with any questions and very patient with all our requests. The service was absolutely outstanding. While we ended up being the only customers while we were there the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming! Then the food where do I start! We sat down and had their hot pot and got a side of cream cheese wontons. With our hot pot we got chicken, beef, assorted veggies, and lo mein noodles which we cooked in their spicy broth and the mild broth. All of these were fantastic! The noodles were absolutely delicious and both types of broth were so addicting. We ended up paying $50 for two people which is a great deal compared to other places that do hot pot. The portion sizes were very good we even ended up having to take a bunch of it home so definitely come here if you are very hungry! There was absolutely no rush to finish our food in a hurry and we really enjoyed our time here. I would love to come back to check out other food on their menu and will definitely be bringing friends with me! %100 recommend this...
Read moreWe really wanted to like this place. It’s location makes it a great place to stop and the guy at the register is so welcoming! However, it’s way too salty, lacks flavor, food is dry and not hot; even when ordered before 5:00, sweet and sour sauce is just sour tasting with no sweetness flavor, egg rolls have a different very strong sour flavor, sweet and sour chicken is mushy, noodles are dry and have more than double salt than needed, kung pao had no flavor and no spice at all; very blah, selection isn’t very big. All 3 times we threw away the majority of the meal, all but the couple of bites taken to determine we didn’t like it. I have no comparison for bubble tea but one sip and that was it for me, not my cup of tea I guess; too thick and sweet but the cups are adorable!! I see we are not the only ones of this same opinion so if you take all this feedback serious and implement changes, you have a gold mine with the amount of traffic in this area. I’m not sold on the authenticity of the generic positive comments. I’ve traveled many places and eaten food court Chinese food everywhere I’ve been and this is by far the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. We figured 3rd time would be a charm but it wasn’t. We’ll be back if you change your recipes, because service is half of the experience and your welcoming service...
