As a connoisseur of Horchata myself, I can attest that Charras’ version surpasses all others, even my own homemade recipe. As we relished our heavenly drinks, a charming gentleman arrived with a cart, ready to prepare tableside guacamole. This delightful spectacle featured fresh avocados, bright jalapeños, sweet purple onions, juicy vine-ripe tomatoes, crisp cilantro, and creamy garlic, all harmoniously blended with a tangy, luscious lime. The guacamole was an absolute masterpiece, perfectly complementing the red salsa and crisp chips. For our main course, we indulged in plates of steak fajitas and shredded beef chimichangas, both generously filled with mouth-watering, zesty flavors. The care and creativity invested in each dish evoked the warmth of a cherished family-owned restaurant. From the cheerful ambiance to the joyous waitstaff and the exquisite gourmet meal, our experience at Charras was nothing short of perfection. Busy on a Friday night even at 5 PM. The wait was 45-50 minutes. Not a problem, we have been here many times and willing to wait. The Guacamole service-table side was the best experience the whole evening. Definitely tip the Guacamole server! The attached picture is of my daughter during this moment. Waiter however was more concerned with the large wedding party alcohol enhancement then service to individual tables. We made our order easy for him..2 of the same- street tacos- with steak and Pepsi. We also ordered sopapillas at the same time. By the time, we got our order, my plate was extremely hot, and my daughter's was literally cold. We weren't asked if everything was ok or anything. Server grabbed our sodas and refilled them. Not speaking a word. By the time he returned we were ready to leave with only eating a little bit. Still not had our dessert, he asked if we were ready for the sopapillas. I said yes but I need them boxed along with to go boxes since we are ready to go. He came back with 2 to go boxes and sopapillas on plate. Gives me the total without tab. I said that I need the dessert boxed. He said through gritted teeth fine and comes back with dessert. Without giving me the tab still says the total. I was throughly disappointed at the service. This is a first negative review I have given in a long time. Sad since we used to love going there. We tipped server still $20 because of the way servers...

We arrived before 6pm and it’s easy to get a table for 2.

As always , the place is packed with diners and the yummy smell of foods. I wasn’t hungry but the food here just makes my tummy rumble 😁 I can’t resist Mexican comida 😊

We ordered :

CAZUELA SERVES TWO An ideal combination of chicken, skirt steak, tiger shrimp, pork chop, chorizo, queso asadero, onions, nopal and frijoles charros. Arrives to you in a massive sizzling bed of seasoned poblano peppers, chiles toreados and onions.

Served with tortillas, Spanish rice, beans, pico de gallo and sour cream

My verdict: Carne is really good 10/10, soft, tasty. Pork - 10/10 Shrimp - 10/10 cooked perfectly!

Jalapeño Pepper - 🌶🔥10/10 in spiciness one bite and I’m done

Cactus -🌵 😁it’s a new experienced for me to eat cactus Hahahhaha but it’s not bad . Try it so that whenever your stranded in the dessert you will live , eat cactus 🤣!

Tortillas and salsa is a atomic bomb! 💣 10/10 salsa u can taste its freshness to the bones 😊 tortillas was served warm ❤️❤️❤️ oh so good as always, I think I’m good even with the tortillas, I can now go home hahahahha! Sadly you can’t bring a take away...
