Read moreI'm torn about how to rate this Jersey Mike's. While it was everything I expected walking in, it's not my preferred location. I was in the area and needed a quick lunch fast, and since I enjoy their subs, I stopped in on a whim.
Walking in, I already kind of knew what I was going to get. I always get the #9 without bacon, but I still like to review their menu to see if there's any changes or weekday lunch specials. (hey, you never know!) I'm also a Jersey shore points member, so going here on the regular helps me earn free subs. Plus, their foods consistent and that's great.
The guys behind the counter were helpful and got my order correct. I went with the mini #9 (no bacon) and a soft drink since I was dining in. (to far of a drive home and I was literally starving.) Food came out great, service was quick and food was just as I ordered.
The down side? Place could have used a good cleaning for the seating area. Looks like it may have gotten hit during the weekday lunch rush and nobody had bothered to wipe down the tables. I'm not OCD about it or anything, but the few open tables all had crumbs on them. Plus, they have a lot of two tops here, so seating's tight. Even sitting by myself I felt a bit squished.
Anyway, I come to this side of town semi regularly whether it's to see my dad, hit Nino's or eat at the restaurants in the area, so I'm sure I'll be back in one fashion or another. Hopefully they wipe their tables down before I dine...
