I will forever be grateful for the service I received from Town Pub. My sister and I were recovering from a serious car accident—we had both been hit by a car as pedestrians, leaving us with broken ribs, a fractured spine, and unable to drive. We ordered delivery one night, and when the pizza arrived, it had been carried sideways. When I opened the box, the cheese was stuck to the lid, the sauce had spilled along the sides—it was a total mess.
We called Town Pub to explain what had happened, and also shared what we had just been through. Since we had no car and were physically unable to pick up food ourselves, we were stuck. Although it wasn’t their fault, the manager (I believe his name was Tyler) listened with genuine empathy and personally delivered a fresh pizza to us. If that’s not excellent service, I don’t know what is!
Since then, we’ve become frequent patrons of Town Pub. The customer service is consistently impeccable. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but EJ is always delightful, and the tall young waiter is equally wonderful. Honestly, every server we’ve had has been pleasant and helpful.
As for the food—our go-to favorites are the cheese pie with basil, the boneless buffalo wings, and the broccoli soup (which is to die for). Town Pub is truly a neighborhood gem, and we’re so glad to have them close by.

Read moreI am a top chef for 50 years and owned 29 upscale restaurants before I retired My wife and I were really into going to have some great pub style food I ordered the cheese burger that should be close to min 6 ounces to 8 ounces of beef I received a over cooked flat burger in category of a Burger King for $16 that I sent back and they sent out a new burger again over cooked of which I kept just to be polite as my waitress was one of the best servers I seen in awhile My wife ordered avocado chicken sandwich and told fries come with it at $14.75 That arrived with over cooked fries and you had to find the chicken pieces in the roll. When bill came her $14.75 jumped to $17+ so obviously I was charged for fries she never would of ordered. I commented per the 2 items we ordered but in all fairness they must be doing something right there cause they have a 2 level restaurant and both levels pretty well filled Maybe it just was bad timing for my first time going out in this area for pub food and maybe under staffed tonight in kitchen as things happen. I gave my review in my honest opinion as a top chef and I always wanted customers of my restaurants to do the same This way I as then me being the owner I fix the problem so I recieve no more...
Read moreAlright so I have a very mixed review here. They have a ton of specials and a fair amount of different Tvs and are willing to put whatever channel you want. A juke box and a family friendlyish restaurant. However, the staff is good at times but very often the experience is sub par. I live two blocks down and I go often out of convenience. They have football and baseball specials for food and booze. The only thing that gets me is that I have given them a ton of business. I've come with parties of 8-10, solo, with friends, take out, dine in. Yet, even after all that, none of the bartenders know who I am. Noone has bothered to ask my name, how I'm doing or where I'm from. I'm a 20-30% tipper but I've only been comped on very rare occasions. I'm there for baseball, hockey, football. I'm a regular, but they treat me as a John doe. Honestly it's starting to make me feel salty. Make me want to give my business to just Jakes in montclair where Steve or Kenny greet me by name or old canal where at least they know what I drink. They have such a great location with awesome potential but they might as well have computers that take your order because the inviting warmth isn't there. I'll keep visiting here and there but less than...
