This place is hit or miss. The service is non existent.
They need to figure out a better system when they have high crowds. Take names, station a hostess, or something. The partition right by the door makes people congregate and block the entrance, also a fire hazard. They dont acknowledge guests but the absolute bare minimum of communication possible.
When you get a table, you'll likely wait at least an hour for your food. Ironically, it took an hour to get hot food from the kitchen and an additional 20 minutes after to get 5 nigiri from the sushi bar... raw fish took 80 minutes to prepare.
The hot food (chicken) was dry and cool, so it seems they cannot coordinate orders that are from both the kitchen and sushi bar.
Take out orders seem to take priority above sit in customers.
After the past 3 attempts to give this place a shot and been left not just disappointed but impressed they can continue to function like this, I will just bite the bullet and drive to Indy before coming...
Read moreOrdered a house Cabernet ($5.00), and it was pretty good, especially the very generous pour. For dinner, I was going to start with a small bowl of the Tom Yum chicken soup ($6.99) and then have the Pad Ped chicken for dinner ($13.99), but they both came out at the same time, which worked fine too. I ordered the soup with two peppers (medium) and the main dish with three (hot); four peppers is described as Thai Hot! The soup was excellent, and spiced perfectly. The main dish also was excellent, but the heat made me cry. Fortunately, I had a large glass of Cabernet to ease my pain. The serving were generous, and the waiter (David) was courteous, professional,...
Read moreThe food was okay considering it is in Bloomington, Indiana and not Phuket/Bangkok, Thailand. Overall the vibe is nice, great customer service from the owner/manager. Asked for extra Thai basil and spring green onions and they delivered. The chillie mix was very spicy just the way it should have been.
The ambiance was versatile and the place was clean. Restrooms were maintained which is always nice to experience at restaurants. Tom Ka soup was okay nothing to brag about (coconut milk from can mixed into non thai ingredients), Pad Thai was on the sweeter side Green Thai Curry didn’t have that ‘zing’. Overall the authenticity of ‘Thai cuisine’ was missing. Ingredients that are foundationally the backbone of Thai cooking such as Galangal/ Keffir Lime leaves/ Thai lemon and Lemon grass...
