We had originally shopped here because they are a local family-owned business and they have a nice selection of LazyBoy furniture. We bought a floor model to save a little bit of money…that was our first mistake. The sectional had defects to the legs, which we were told would be fixed before delivery. Delivery day rolls around and we’re told they didn’t have the brackets to fix them and had to order them. This was a bummer, but we were fine with waiting. We were told by Dylan that it would be a week or two, which then turned into almost 2 months. Highly inconvenient and not once did they own up to their mistakes or try to make it right. He kept stringing us along for months with almost no updates during this time. We were honestly worried that they were scamming us. We constantly had to reach out to him to check on the status and set up a date for them to come make the repairs. They would not answer our calls. Just terrible customer service. Since we had already purchased the couch in full, our business no longer mattered to them at this point. Had they done everything they could to make it right or offer us a discount etc. for the inconvenience, they may have had a returning customer. Instead we will not be buying from them again or recommending this business to anyone. The only good experience we had was with their delivery and repair team. They were kind, respectable, and helpful without complaint and took the time to answer our questions. It was not their fault that this happened, just the management team at the store could use some improvements. Stay away from...
Read moreShort version: If you are going to buy the extended warranty on any furniture, beware. The company they use does not cover what Stahl’s representatives say, and they (warrant provider) will try to intimidate you into giving up. Stahl would he wise to disassociate with their current (August 2021) extended warranty offerings as it reflects poorly on their company.
Long version: We bought a leather couch and two leather recliners from Stahl in February 2020. The salesman suggested a furniture protection plan that would have covered damage from pets and moving, which were two concerns we had at the time so we bit. Our couch was delivered in the wrong color (brown, not blue), but we accepted it for a discount, and when we had need to use the protection plan we were given the run around by the company offering the plan and Stahl Furniture. Stahl had sold us one plan and given us a brochure for a different plan that covered far more than what they had sold us, and neither the protection company or Stahl wanted to admit fault. Keep your receipt and do not be afraid to ask for the service you bought. I have spent several hours trying to get answers and solutions to the problem, and have settled for a pro-rated refund. Their furniture selection is great and contains quality pieces, but the extended warranty and follow-up service is what my 3 star review concerns as the two are unfortunately...
