Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Boaz

We use to eat here all the time would have chosen it over any of the others around town however the mistakes have been so many here lately that it's just a waste of time and money to go to this location would prefer going to Albertville or Guntersville as Boaz location can not get even the simplest of orders correct. Last week it was 2 large caramel iced coffees and large hashround , we were given vanilla instead and they had placed a container with bottom half old rock hard hashround and top half fries and the excuse was "we didn't have enough to fill it up so added fries" no fries please remake and then receive the hashround replacement and it's container is half filled with another set of super greasy super hard rounds. Go back for a family meal a week later which was today, and yes some items are special but not to hard to leave off MAYO or make a plain meat and cheese kids burger however they messed this up as well. The manager who was expoing was extremely rude. Ordered at the box very slow and clearly on purpose because of past mistakes made here , no repeat of the order get the receipt notice missing one kids meal and an extra coffee pay for them to be added. Manager brings bag to the window and says "here it's all in the bag" so I check it and the no mayo burger had mayo on it as well as ketchup,onions and pickles big bacons don't come with any of those 3,check and yes both big bacons are made incorrectly, so check the kids meals and sure enough ketchup, pickles and onions on them as well. Have them remade sit there while they do this so the fries for all 5 meals are growing cold by this time finally get the remade burgers mistake in not checking them as I go home and hand everyone their food and one of the remakes of the big bacon was missing the bacon. Called and made them aware was offered a meal but turned it down as the hassle of it being wrong 90% of the time is no longer worth going back. Wanted to post here so maybe the higher management can see and make some much needed changes such as better training for their employees because worker shortage was not the issue this time around. The girl who handled the cash register was great at helping fix the issue but the manager being aware of the situation should've ensured accuracy the second time around so there wouldn't have been need to call to complain. Her attitude and snide remarks were also not needed as it was her incompetence that allowed such a mess of what should've been...

Jacks for breakfast is still a decent place to go, especially if you're serious about eating a lot of food in the morning and don't mind the calories and carbs 😁. Jacks used to be really good in the past, I'll use pre- COVID as my marker here, it seems to have gone down hill since then. The burgers ( which I only see, never eat) used to look like thick patties, now they use thin wafer type meat patties and give two on a burger, that's not the same regardless of meat ratio. The chicken fingers used to be battered in a light and crunchy batter that was tasty and had just enough seasonings. Now they're thickly covered in batter that's extremely salty and that's basically the only flavor...salt. Nothing worth eating anymore, the salad is like the shredded iceberg lettuce that's used on a taco and there was a puddle of water in the bottom of my bowl, the grilled chicken was cooked to almost a powder consistency on the inside while the outside was like jerky. However, the people who work there are always friendly and the service is always top notch. The restaurant is clean as well as the restrooms. They do have scoop ice cream that some people in my family enjoy, so...

I'm Alabama from Colorado, we do not have Jack's back home! I eat here as often as I can because I love it! This store didn't disappoint on this visit.

Update!!! I am visiting again and was so excited about going to Jack's! Ordered lunch on the app, went to get it.. they didn't give me drinks, so I asked for them. She asked me what drinks I was supposed to get. I told her, and then she asked the size. It wasn't just my food, so I told her I didn't know for sure other than mine. She then came back and told me they didn't have coke. What else did I want. I don't treat myself to a soft drink often, but when I do, it's coke. It took me a minute to decide on something else. I saw her dump the mix of soda water and coke out of a cup and start over. Which leads me to believe that the coke was just out and needed changed. That only takes a minute, I've managed restaurants my whole life. I would never tell a customer I was out and what do they want in place of it. At least offer me to wait for them to change it! Got home and no napkins in the bag either. Might not be as excited to get to...
