Definitely a very nice upscale place. The food was fantastic! The prices were high. What can you expect from a place located in the heart of Boca in Mizner Park? It was super overcrowded. Way to much noise. The menu selection was super small. There's pros and cons to that. Pro being that with a limited menu, food is constantly being rotated out so there's none of old, expired food to worry over they may serve you. Con is that honestly, between the pork chop, steak and pasta, there was nothing I could find I would truly wanted for the "Atmosphere". Burgers I can get anywhere. Pasta I can get anywhere. I'm not a seafood fan. You can see their menu online yourself to see the dinner selections. My plate was. About $40 and my finances was about $60. Drinks $4 a piece, just basic unsweetened tea. The kitchen is wide open, I loved that part. The bench I was seated at was large, I loved that. Our waitress was mediocre. Not super friendly, not outgoing, more of like ok what can I get you and let's get out type of vibe, even when we treated her very highly. Never would I be disrespectful to waitress or waiter ever. I'm in the Industry myself. I just didn't get a vibe that she would be super grateful to work at such a high scale restaurant like this one. The appetizers looked and sounded great, but again, $36 for spinach dip, which I'm sure is phenomenal, was not on our list to spend that much. I ordered a 12 oz pork chop. It was great. Perfection. It came with broccolini and that was delicious, and Yukon potatoes. They were dry unfortunately I didn't care for them. All in all, it's a beautiful place. Very cleanly, very upscale. Way overcrowded, way too loud, and way expensive. I think next time we will try a different place. Still go down and check them out. We may have went on a very busy night. **Edited to add - yes the author in response to my review was absolutely right, the spinach dip appetizer was $15, I was wrong about that. And my husband's was $50. I only had taken away one star because of the over crowdedness. I prefer a quiet, upscale dining where I can't hear the person I'm with and I also prefer to have less around me being considered an introvert lol. I can tell the owners and management take much pride, based on their feedback. I definitely admit I was wrong about the price I confused but I'm happy to clear that up for future guests. I don't know if it was completely necessary to combat everything I felt from my visit in response, but I understand to take great pride in your beautiful restaurant. Read moreI took my daughter to brunch in order to celebrate and we chose this restaurant. My daughter loves great crabcakes and you offered a Crabcake Benedict which sounded amazing. We both ordered them and had requested well toasted muffin, sauce on the side and no slime on whites. They were delivered to our table by a runner, barely warm. When our server Brett came by, we were done with one cake. We wanted to at least eat one before it was totally cold. I told him the food was barely warm and the potatoes were cold and he offered to heat them up. That would have meant giving him my plate with an already lukewarm crabcake and poached egg to heat up? I told him no, that I would take them home, but the reality was that the hash browns were stale and over salted and the crab cake was fishy and I even had two pieces of exoskeleton that made me leave the rest on my plate. My daughter ate one cake as well, and took the other to give to her cat Molly. Given the fact that this plate is priced at 36.00 dollars it was very dissapointing indeed. The coffee was good. Our server knew we were not happy, but we decided not to make our day more difficult by asking for a manager. Perhaps it was a bad day at the kitchen. It is always the server who must confront the issues sometimes caused by others. I tipped him 20 percent although I do believe the meals were not made as we requested or expected. Read moreIt was nice to walk into a trusty feeling place. An American steak house with dark wood interiors and a large sturdy bar. We had tried a few experimental places lately and it felt time to go to a "classic" type spot.
We walked in yesterday and were immediately brought to the table of our choice, a big booth. Smart, quick service is always a great start. Our waitress was over soon after, and was as kind and pleasant as you could ask for. she had the waters at the ready, and went over the specials with ease. They have a fun cost effective special they do where if 2 people get certain entrees they get an appetizer, desert and a bottle of wine thrown in. After debating a bit, we settled on getting that special. Meanwhile our waitress brought out the complimentary bread. But it wasn't bread, it was hummus and sesame seed cracker sticks. Pretty darn good. So good that we ate it all. We had also added an additional appetizer of crispy Brussels sprouts. By the time the food showed up we were full from the nice appetizers and wine. Oh, the other appetizer I had was the Southwestern tortilla soup. It was surprisingly good. I say that as often its more of a cheap broth. but this bowl of goodness was chunky! My meal was the crab crusted snapper. I had a few bites. It was perfect. flaky and fresh from the kitchen. But I was stuffed so took it home for later.
