This is a picture of a wonderful steak that I got at Texas Roadhouse because I did not eat at this location. Saturday August 16th I was taking my mother to dinner at Renzo's her favorite place where she has gone for over 20 years. I had to wait several minutes before I could actually turn off of Federal highway into their parking lot because of people picking other people up and picking up to go orders and blocking most of the entrance. Once I found a way to get in I drove straight to the back out of the way and found a parking space. They have complimentary valet parking but it is also mandatory apparently and an extremely rude valet literally ran after my car and started screaming at me "Boss you can't park here, this doesn't work for me man. Boss you got to move your car. Before I could even explain to him I'd be glad to move to a non-vallet location and still pay him anyway he still kept screaming at me " Boss, this don't work, you need to move your car and get it out of here" He must have called me boss at least a half a dozen times as it may have been one of the few words he knew in English which is understandable. But I told him to stop screaming at me and to definitely stop calling me boss. I got out of the car and told him to give me his name because I was taking this to the owner inside. He refused to give me his name and walked off. After absolutely embarrassing me and insulting me by screaming at me in front of people, he walks off when I try to get his name. I drove right up to the front, parked my car went inside and asked to speak to the manager or owner. Nobody would identify who or what they were at the establishment and I said I'm not going to be screamed at by some valet when I'm coming here to spend money and then they asked me to leave which I did. And I'll never be back. They clearly didn't care about my business or how they treated me. I have been in the the customer service industry my entire life and I would never allow an employee to talk to somebody the way I was talked to and as a supervisor I would never allow one of my employees to talk to a customer like that ever. I have never been so insulted and just absolutely shocked at how little they care about people. So we did not eat there. I waited a couple of days before posting this to really think it over a few times to see if it was worth it, but it is. And after I read some other reviews about how their valet service operates, I see this is a problem that they're not going to deal with they just don't care. So if you are somebody responding to these reviews don't bother with your fake apology now. I know exactly how you were and you meant to treat me exactly the way you did. People need to know it and hopefully they will change the way they do business. I'm not holding my breath again based on other reviews and similar complaints. I very much like supporting Mom and Pop owned businesses, but if you allow the first people who greet your customers to treat them like this, you're going to lose business...
Read moreExcellent food, extremely close to my favorite pizza places in NY. The largest calzones, are HUGE, feed 2 people easily !! Again like authentic Little Italy or Brooklyn NY.
I got a large Calzone at Toni's, was 3/4 the size of Renzos and very skimpy on the toppings, steak and cheese 18 bucks for 1 with tax!! Same at Big City Pizza, portions ok, but their sauce i cannot get past it, has a sweet, caramelized flavor that overpowers the pizza, calzones etc.
BOTTOM LINE, YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH RENZOS ON FEDERAL HWY. GET YOUR ORDER IN EARLY, THEY ARE PACKED FOR DELIVERY, ESPECIALLY ON WEEKENDS, PLENTY OF DINING SPACE INSIDE AND OUT.
Today I had the grandma pie with sausage and mushrooms it comes with basil but I am allergic. So they were quick to make sure it was not on my pizza. Thank you by the way.
The grandma and pie had a nice thin crust with just the correct amount of sauce and cheese. Plenty of mushrooms but a little skimpy on the sausage. I do notice this would renzo's maybe you need to request a little more toppings when it comes to the meats.
Otherwise a perfect experience. The delivery people are wonderful I fortunately am only about a quarter mile away and it arrives hot all the time. Another thing to die for is their rice balls. You get four of them kind of small I would say between a ping pong ball and a black handball when all four are headed together I guess it would be the size of a baseball / softball in the middle which is how I used to get them in New York. The marinara sauce to dip them in is a perfect compliment. These guys do a wonderful job give them a try you won't regret it
Just an update today April 17th 2025 I ordered the Grandma pie again this time with just sausage and they never fail to deliver excuse the pun. The only thing that I can find to comment different on is the pricing. A little expensive. It was $23 for the small grandma and pie and I ate six small slices probably 3 and 1/2 in by 3 and 1/2 in and paper thin which is a good thing that's the way I like the crust, I also ordered two sodas Coke and root beer at $4 each I assumed I was getting a 2 l of each because that's what just about every delivery service and restaurant charges I was a little disappointed that I got two 12 oz cans for $8 That's really expensive so I would...
Read moreThe pizza was ok. I ordered the pizza for delivery. It was delivered at an unknown time. Why? Because the delivery guy never knocks on the door. The pizza was a deluxe pizza at $28 plus tax and a tip of $5.42, which was automatically charged. Total bill $42 for 18 inches. We expected the pizza for a while. We tried to contact the place cause the tracking said it was supposed to be delivered, but nothing yet. I started preparing something to eat cause the pizza didn't arrive. We I went to take the garbage out. There was the pizza on the floor cold for only God know how long sitting there. I later called the restaurant to complain, and a receptionist answered, saying they had nothing to do with it Because the delivery is through Uber eats. Unbelievable...if you are offering a product and you don't included delivery first offer the client the choice to call their own Uber eats and see if they TIP or not cause this service deserves cero tip. You can't included the delivery and tip in your bill and later said you have nothing to do with it. You have to be transparent and said No delivery. So people call Uber eats and order through them and deal directly with Uber. The pizza wasn't that great either is an OK pizza and customer service deserves cero stars. BE AWARED AND Expect cero responsibility on their behalf. They include the delivery and the tip but they have CERO RESPONSABILITY IF THE PIZZA ARRIVES OR NOT IF IS FULL OF ANTS OR SOAKING WET CAUSE IS A RAINING DAY . EXPECT CERO BECAUSE AFTER YOU PAID THEM FOR EVERYTHING THE RESPONSIBILITY IS ON UBER EATS. Since I didn't order Uber eats the pick up I can't complain with them either cause I paid Renzo's directly for everything pizza...
