The Loft Hookah Lounge — Restaurant in Boca Raton

I recently visited Loft Hookah Lounge in Boca Raton, and I’m extremely disappointed with their dishonest pricing and billing practices.

The menu clearly showed $30 for shisha (hookah) and $12 for a food item. I also ordered a $2 soda. Based on the menu prices, my total should have been around $44 before tax.

However, the bill they gave me showed: • $35 for a “Custom Item” • $15 for another “Custom Item” • $2 for the soda

There were no item names listed, so it’s impossible to even verify which charge is for what! On top of that, they added a 7% sales tax and an 18% service charge — with no prior mention of this service charge on the menu or anywhere else.

This is extremely unprofessional and misleading, and I will be reporting this incident to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) for deceptive...

Okay vibes, okay atmosphere, dirty seats where I sat, seems like the place is a work in progress but regardless all was good enough except for the fact that the $30 hookah price on the menu ended up being: $37 at the register (maybe a top was added without consent? Who knows but whatever) I paid and then all of a sudden the register shows the payment went thru as $48.75... I checked my phone and it did charge me exactly that... one of the worst customer service experiences I ever had were with the owner of this place. he only cares about making money and tried to force us to purchase more hookahs because he saw we were a group of students. he proceeded to go talk off to his friends sitting in the back and smoking, telling them we are "boca kids" and that is why he can charge us more. The principle of the fact is what disgusted me about this place, not the pricing or the money. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere to better hookah lounges around...
