Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen's Club Boise — Restaurant in Boise

my line of work has me traveling to different towns on a weekly basis, last night a coworker and I decided to check this place out. Upon entering we were informed that our pocket knives had to be left at the front desk, coming out just for a few drinks and had taken an uber we seen no big deal with leaving then knifes in their care. Later on that night we decided to catch a cab back to the hotel, halfway through our journey back we had realize that we had forgot to pick up our knifes, we decided that we would just call first thing as soon as they opened the next day. Once they opened I called and spoke with the manager asking if they still had our knifes and if I was able to come pick them up. He stated that it's not their responsibility to watch after our stuff and that he has no idea where they went, so I said no worries well as the same door guy working from last night I can come down and talk to him to which he stated yes. I then tell down to the spearmint rhino to speak with them in person, once I got there the guy told me that he gave me my nice back last night and that I was belligerent and drunk, I informed him that I had three shots over the entire three hours we were there playing pool and that I would recall if I had gotten my pocket knife back, and noted that my coworker had also not received his knife back so the odds of both of us not remembering picking them up and losing them would be very slim.

The manager then stepped into my face and started yelling about how I had no right to be there demanding my stuff back, I calmly stated that I really wasn't trying to make any issues I'm just hoping someone can remember where my knife went to so I can get it and go home, he then responded that I needed to leave the premises and brought in another big security guard to shove me out the door.

As things continue to get heated and hostile I explained again that I'm really not looking for trouble I would just like my knife back and I'm hoping someone will remember where it went to, he said they didn't have to explain anything and if I wanted to talk anymore than I should file a lawsuit and till then get out of there building. I told him I have no desire to do any of that I'm not looking for money or any handouts I just would like my nice back and I'm hoping to find out where they went to, another employee at this time had stepped in and offered to take my name and number and said he would try to see if he could find anything out for me and call me if he found anything.

I truly appreciate and I'm thankful for the employee who attempted to resolve the issue but still pretty bummed that I had my possessions then just flat out stolen from me by this establishment.

I would strongly advise saving your money and not going to this place if you find yourself looking for something to do on a weekend night. There was a few nice girls and the bartenders were extremely nice but management and the door guy seem to have some sort of system worked out apparently...

I've been coming by here once in a while when I'm in Boise. The bouncers and the doorman is cool and always treats me like I'm one of their friends which is something I don't get very often. I do like the fact this place stays open till 3 AM on the weekends. While many of the women here are beautiful, I was a bit turned off due to the fact that many of them ignored me and acted like I wasn't even there. The drinks here are a little on the pricey side. I was also quite disappointed to find out that the owner doesn't allow the bartenders and cocktail waitresses to get private dances even though it's at a time they are done serving alcohol which is much of the reason why I dropped the rating of this place from 4 stars...

Background: I am working remote in Boise due to COVID-19. I wanted to enjoy myself for a Saturday night and decided to go to Rhino. This is my first time at this club.

Review: I had an excellent time. The dancers, bartenders, and bouncers were accommodating. The environment was chill and everyone was having a fun time. The music was modern hip-hop and rap (think Drake and other related artists). In particular, I received a private lap dance from one of the dancers, Kiki. She had a bubbly personality and did a hell of a job. If you are reading this Kiki, I hope I can meet you again when I am there 👌
