A review of the candy: peanut brittle is good. Has a good flavor to it. It’s not something I’d be amazed with. But it is better than store bought brittle. Chocolate peanut clusters had no joke, 1 peanut in them in most of the clusters. Lol. The chocolate is pretty waxy. I shop at sprouts grocery stores and they’re peanut clusters are better. The toffee is pretty bland. The “old faithful” bar was decent. The chocolate on that bar was actually less waxy than the clusters. I’m allergic to coconut so I didn’t get to try their spuds. All in all I’d give it 2 stars. The brittle was a solid 3 but the chocolate knocked it down a star. A review of the service: I’d give that a half star. But even that may be much. I went in around 2pm on a Monday and there was only 1 other person in the small shop. I had to pass the counter going in. Not a “ hi”, “welcome”, “be with you in a minute” nothing from the lady behind the counter. The door is literally in front of the counter. I was in the shop for a good at least half an hour waiting for a friend that had to go there because they just HAD to. I was the ONLY person in the shop and the lady still didn’t greet me, didn’t try to sell anything to me, didn’t try to up sell me on anything. I honestly felt as if she was ticked off that I was even in the shop. I asked her 5 questions in total and each time it was a labor to answer me. The only happy/pleasant interaction I had with her was when I paid for my stuff and left. There was another gentleman there as well. He never once said a word to me. When I worked in retail and customer service we had to great or acknowledge a customer within a minute of them in our site, definitely went at least 15mins before her answering a product question. Could definitely work on the customer service skills there. A review of the shop/museum(?): the shop itself is super small and connected to what I would think is their office?(the people their were working on what looked like spreadsheets. Just a guess) they took 2 phone calls between the 2 of them and one was a cold call that the lady servicing the shop was annoyed she even picked up. It’s a quaint looking space. Has a few cool looking old things and photos. Not much candy. A video plays of the process of how things are made. All in all, you could watch it on YouTube probably. I’d give the shop 3...
Read moreDave/Candy Man (Idaho Candy Company)... I am so excited to find your website! I was born in Idaho and my family moved to Ohio when I was about 3-years old. My grandparents, now gone, always sent us a box or two of Idaho Spuds for Christmas every year. IDAHO SPUDS ARE MY MOST FAVORITE CANDY TREAT/BAR EVER!! When I was 16 (41-years ago), my family went back to Idaho on vacation to see my grandparents. And, of course, my family brought 8 boxes of IDAHO SPUDS home with us (a box apiece, plus a couple extra). Needless to say, they didn't last very long as we all love them. Then after my grandparents passed not to long thereafter, we no longer received the GREAT CHRISTMAS IDAHO SPUD Gifts any longer. When I went to your official website and read the history (yes, all sections including credits), I am so impressed by the dedication and love which is evident in the history of the Idaho Candy Company. And now, I am also so excited as I can enjoy MY MOST FAVORITE CANDY TREAT/BAR EVER, the IDAHO SPUD, once again! Due to the fact you have kept the original recipe in tact, without any compromises, means I know when I receive MY MOST FAVORITE CANDY TREAT/BAR EVER = IDAHO SPUD and begin to savor it, I am certain it will take me back to my childhood and teen years. THANK YOU for keeping it original and real! My best wishes for your continued success in business and life. With much appreciation and...

Even though box was stamped 100 times all over the outside: CONTAINS CHOCOLATE, WILL MELT.. Guess what.. It melted into one big glob of packaged Goo.. Ive eaten your candy since I was a kid. Normally have to shop @ Smith & Edwards in the Salt Lake City for your candy.. I was disappointed with Goldbelly, Not you.. Guess will have to go the 1600 miles to purchase in Salt Lake.. I still Luv your candy though.....
