Denny's — Restaurant in Bonney Lake

Back story: my roommate (63 yr old elderly) and I have been going to this particular Dennys every Friday- Saturday night for almost 6 months. We enjoy our favorite waitress shaina, amazing server. A friend use to work there and on this night we decided to go have breakfast after a long night of singing. The girl on staff this night had a personal vendetta against our friend that joined us. While she went to the rest room my roommate and I stood at the podium waiting to be seated, like Nikki (waitress) had said she was about to do, Minutes went by as she took her time counting change...again. nobody was in the restaurant mind you, it was empty. She said without looking me in the eye and her back to me " I'm not serving your friend" I ask for her to repeat because I could not hear her due to her not facing me or directing the conversation to me. She then told me we were not welcome there and she was refusing us service. I asked her to please tell me why and could she look me in the eye and face me again. She turned her back to me and walked away yelling as she walked down to the other side of the restaurant telling us to get the F@#$ out. Now this has been going on for 5 minutes. I went to the bathroom and told my friend what had just happen. She came out of the bathroom and asked "nikki" what her problem was. Her reply "I don't have to serve you c$%t get out of here your not welcome here and because you were terminated for a no call no show your not allowed here. I personally have never worked there and have never caused problems and have up till this night enjoyed Bonney lake dennys. Her cussing at me because of her problem with the girl in the bathroom was uncalled for. Discriminating and lying to the cops was uncalled for and then screaming like a mad cow " you fat c%^t your friend needs to leave...my friend was in the bathroom for most of the 8 minutes we were inside. This "nikki needs to learn about being professional. If there was a problem she should have been an adult about it and pulled me aside exposing the truth, not calling me a fat c$%t, or jumping down my throat telling me to get the f$%k out. The elderly man got most of it on video and it clearly shows how unprofessional "nikki" was. We are taking the video to corporate and pursuing whatever we can. This was uncalled for. I called and asked for Dennys video and audio and was told it was erased...hmmmm go figure. My roommate and I were verbally attacked because our friend and nikki have a problem. As for him and I we don't normally see this waitress because we like our regular weekend server shaina. I recommend she be fired or just don't go there when she (nikki) is working. Poor service, 2 thumbs down for this place. After experiencing this incident with a so called adult and management as she claimed.. I'll never spend another some in this place. Sorry shaina. I meant that when I go into a Denny’s I’m not expecting particularly high standards. I’ve had good luck at this location. Many of the times I’ve been here. This particular evening really isn’t about the restaurant as much as it is about the server. She was clearly doing her side work and disappeared from time to time at various points of the meal. Unfortunately, at a certain point she disappeared for over 20 minutes and as I wasn’t in a big hurry, I didn’t worry too much for a soda refill. Then she came by an ounce that she was leaving and that the other waitresses would be able to take care of me but unfortunately I don’t think they were told that I needed any kind of service. Not sure why when one server leaves that there isn’t some type of handoff, but that’s not a process I’m familiar with. I sat another 20 minutes hoping for a drink, refill and trying to catch the one server that was remaining. Two other employees were over at the bar, rolling silverware, and fairly oblivious to anything. Several larger tables of teenagers arrived and we’re very needy so the one remaining server really pretty much got slammed. I finally gave up and went to pay the bill and the server came to check me out, and she recognized that I may not have been very happy, and offered me a beverage to go, and I declined, she was very polite and apologetic when she realized what had occurred, but I did make it clear that I wasn’t very happy about how the transition happened. She did tell me that the server that left I had received several complaints also and she was sorry that it didn’t get caught sooner.

This particular Denny’s has done very well since it opened and generally has been very good at above average I would say for most, so I’m not gonna let this dictate the future, but I’m certainly going to be more proactive at night when asking for things and making sure that I get served correctly when Servers are in the situation’s.

Side note about food: I ordered a lumberjack slam and it was reasonably OK, I just wish sometimes the food quality could be a little bit higher.

The ham slice was WAY over cooked The bacon barely existed and was small and thin, The sausages were small and overcooked. The hash browns were undercooked The eggs, pancakes, and toast were ok

These are things I shouldn’t have to complain about, and I didn’t, but had i wanted to, my server ghosted me anyway.

I know it’s a Denny’s, but they really should try to do a little better esp with the proteins

Went and got breakfast for my mom on her birthday ordered the free breakfast for her and was one charged for it!!! when I came back she was rude and was ohh nothing I can do now! Really!?Why did you put it on in the first place!! We had her ID if she needed it but I didn’t know they placed it on their! Girl was extremely rude! Mom ordered a coffee came back with raw egg on it and I barely saved her from drinking it!!! Pretty sure that’s a health hazard! Then on top of it we asked for a new cup we got a clean one and also ordered a water for my mom as well! Came back with red lip stick on it!!! GROSS! Happy birthday Mom sorry customer service sucked and you received two dirty drinks! Ohh and we had to pay for her even though thats why we went to Denny’s was for her free breakfast meal! Trust me I’m very disappointed! Only thing that saved you a little was the food was hot and good! But then again did I get a clean plate?! I’m not to sure!

This could of been prevented if the last lady would of just helped me receive the free meal for her I work fast food I know accidents happen but my money won’t be coming here again! An I came here quite frequently! Need to train your crew to respond better to customers!! The way she handle it was beyond words and I would of been pissed if it was one of my crew members! She was an older lady and have problems with her before! Sad cause I actually like the food here but I don’t want dirty...
