The Port Seafood & Oyster Bar offers a satisfying seafood experience in Shreveport. The standout dishes during my visit were the shrimp and snow crab. The shrimp was particularly impressive - fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. It's clear they know how to prepare this seafood staple to perfection. The snow crab was another highlight of the meal. Succulent and sweet, it was a treat for any crab lover. The meat was easy to extract and paired well with the provided butter. It's worth noting that this is a seat-yourself establishment, which adds to its casual, relaxed vibe. While I didn't try everything, all the food I saw coming out of the kitchen looked solid, suggesting consistency across their menu. The Port delivers on its promise of quality seafood in a pleasant, laid-back dining atmosphere. A great spot for seafood lovers looking for a no-fuss, delicious meal.

We wanted some seafood in the Schreveport, LA area. So, I turned to Google to see what others were talking about. The Port has glowing recommendations 4.9 out of 5. We decided to see for ourselves. The Port is located in the food court of the Horseshoe Casino. ( The casino has a car parking garage attached to the building and a semi parking near the helicopter pad a little down the road) Okay, so now the food . I LOVED the shrimp Étouffée. It was very flavorful. They had run out of Dungeness crab over the weekend, so I treated myself to King Crab and I was not disappointed 😋. My dinner partner indulged themselves with the shrimp and catfish platter, Seafood gumbo, and we shared the calamari, which were cooked perfectly, not rubbery, and again, the flavor was great. In conclusion, I agree with the ratings and will definitely put them on the list of returns.

I am convinced these are bots making these reviews. This place is a was extremely disappointing. Probably one of my worst restaurant experiences ever! First we walk in. Did not get greeted. There was no server no host just a cook and busser. After sitting around we figured we had to go the counter and order. After ordering everything was self serve. Get your own drinks, silverware, etc. Hell i started to go behind the bar and fix me a mixed drink. Spent 124$ on some supposed firecracker shrimp. They were precooked and they just throwed them in the grease and threw some spiracha or whatever sauce they use. My husband ordered the snapper. The fish was fine but the rice was old, hard, and dry. I got the fish and shrimp platter and got 3 regular sized shrimp, and three strips of what is supposed to be catfish. It definitely was not. It was burnt and disgusting. Couldn't eat it. We also ordered a dungeon crab platter. The crab was overcooked to the point where there was literally no meat. The only good thing was the coke I ordered . They definitely lost a lot of od business that day....I will never be back.

Right across the hall from the 1931 bar, you can listen to the live music from the bar while enjoying some excellent seafood. We had roasted oysters, salmon New Orleans style, crawfish etouffee and the crab dip. All were served hot, nicely seasoned and properly cooked. The roasted oysters have garlic butter and parmesan with a delightful smoky flavor. The salmon has a light blackened finish, topped with shrimp and served with steamed rice and roasted veggies. Crawfish etouffee was served with rice and some nice, thick, freshly browned garlic toast. The crab dip is a wonderful creamy and cheesy mix with plenty of crab meat, served with tortilla chips. In addition, the service was very fast and the staff quite friendly and attentive. Overall an excellent dinner.

Honestly for the price, the food isn't worth it. The fried fish is good, superb even. The fried shrimp and oysters are meh. The shrimp étouffée sauce is alright and the shrimp for it is bad. The hushpuppies are meh too. The fries are great. You can request additional sauce like honey mustard. It's kind of out of poorly placed. Like it's in a hotel so it's mainly for the hotel residents to eat at. But additionally, it isn't enclosed so you get the rest of the hotel sounds. Service was fine. They have a counter for you to order food and you just walk up and ask if you need anything. It just didn't feel like a restaurant of its price point for all the above points.

One plate of chargrilled oysters was served raw and smelled funny. They had a rancid taste, so we didn't eat them. The other plate of chargrilled oysters was burnt to a crisp. I mean to the point there was no oyster left to eat. The boiled shrimp was so overly salted that it was inedible. The sauce on the swamp fries just wasn't tasty. The service was horrible. We had to stand in line and wait to order. The food all came out at different times. You couldn't get a waiter to bring anything. It was the worst dining experience I've ever had. The 4 people in our party left hungry even after spending a pretty penny on those dishes.
