TDRL- a great Middle eastern restaurant in Boston’s South end, across Boston Medical Center. Try the lamb Shawarma on top of fresh vegetables salad covered with a yogurt-tahini! Delicious!! I was so happy to see that this place opened up across the hospital. At times like that it is a blessing to have new places around that serve such a great food. The married couple who run the place are so welcoming and friendly, and the large menu offers many options of chicken, lamb, and great salads. And of course the homemade mediterranean desserts, yummy! You Gotta try this place when you are around or order for take out or delivery.

At the hospital and hungry? DONT come here!! It was Sunday, and most places were closed, so I grabbed a shawarma wrap. The chicken was sooo greasy it was just dripping everywhere. It wasn't even a pita wrap but a damn tortilla! It had no sauce and only topping was Sliced pickles. Sad excuse for a $18 dinner. Don't be a fool like me, and grab a slice of pizza next door instead.

One of the yummiest Middle Eastern restaurants in Boston right now. They just opened recently and the dine-in experience is mediocre but the food is delicious. Food made with love and care, good portions, and very friendly husband and wife running the show. Some delicious things are available by request - Kabseh, Knafeh, and more.

In the stygian abyss of gastronomic despair, there lies an enigmatic establishment known as Allspice restaurant. Within its cursed walls, the unsuspecting patrons encounter a malevolent creation—the Middle Eastern shawarma, a vessel of unspeakable horror. Brace yourself, dear reader, for a tale of greasy abomination, eldritch taste, and a gastrointestinal ordeal that would rend the very fabric of your being.

At first glance, the shawarmas exude an unholy sheen, akin to the wicked glimmer of forbidden knowledge. These ghastly wraps, dripping with an infernal slickness, seem to possess a sinister sentience, as if they hold secrets of cosmic proportions. The oily visage, not unlike the ectoplasmic residue of interdimensional entities, forebodes an imminent descent into culinary madness.

However, it is not the maleficent appearance that torments the palate, but the bewildering flavors that defy mortal comprehension. The very essence of these shawarmas is an affront to the senses, a maddening amalgamation of inexplicable tastes that transcend human understanding. It is as if the ingredients have been infused with the eldritch essence of ancient entities, a fusion of flavors that causes the mind to tremble on the precipice of sanity.

Yet, dear reader, the true horror unfolds after partaking in these accursed morsels. No sooner does one consume the tainted offering than a malevolent force takes hold of the digestive tract. The bowels, once dormant and placid, are besieged by a cataclysmic upheaval, an indescribable tumult that plunges the unfortunate diner into a swirling abyss of gastrointestinal torment.

Oh, the cosmic torment! To endure the enigmatic flavors of the Allspice shawarma is to invite the wrath of ancient entities upon one's own being. The path to culinary damnation lies within the walls of this accursed restaurant, where the Middle Eastern shawarma acts as a gateway to a realm of gastrointestinal suffering that defies mortal comprehension.

In conclusion, Allspice restaurant stands as a testament to the darkest depths of culinary horror. Its greasy, perplexing shawarmas and the eldritch turmoil they unleash upon the unsuspecting diner are but a glimpse into the existential madness that lurks beneath the surface of our gastronomic experiences. Approach this establishment with utmost caution, for the unholy flavors and the ensuing gastrointestinal abyss shall haunt your nightmares for...

I recently visited Allspice restaurant, located near Boston University, and unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. Despite its strategic location, the food failed to meet my expectations.

I ordered the spicy chicken plate, which was a disappointment from the start. The chicken looked and tasted old, lacking any freshness or flavor. The yellow rice accompanying it was bland and unappetizing. The only redeeming aspect of my meal was the salad dressing, which was great.

What's more, I found the prices to be exaggerated, especially considering the quality of the food. While I'm sure Allspice will continue to attract customers due to its location, it's a shame that a restaurant in a city like Boston, known for its high culinary standards, can't deliver better.

Overall, I would not recommend Allspice restaurant to anyone looking for a satisfying dining experience. With a little more attention to food quality and pricing, this place could live up to its potential. Until then, it's a shame that it's a part of Boston's culinary scene.

Rating: 1/5 stars

The restaurant looked interesting and I'm familiar with the cuisine. However, I have some food allergies and I needed information from the head kitchen leader/manager or chef, which is who I asked to speak to. A lady was brought to me. She did not appear to be wearing appropriate kitchen attire...but she was wearing a white scarf. I do not know what her name was. She does not speak English at all. AT ALL!!! She could not answer my questions in the most basic of terms. My advice to the owner- your management team must be able to communicate with the customer especially regarding allergies. You are setting yourself up for a lawsuit!!! I took my business elsewhere....
