First time in Boston and this was such a great apartment for my solo visit. You're close to Back Bay and a short walk to the train in Copley (and other options; I forget all their names) and there was a bus station right out front. I love the big windows and they did a great job of having a nice size kitchen for a studio space (my apartment was The Tremont). I believe it's 4 floors total so be mindful if you have a bunch of luggage or need to be on a bottom floor since it's a walk up (I was fine with 2 bags/3rd floor). My regret was not exploring the neighborhood more cause there was a bunch of restaurants that opened up for the evening that looked cute (I loved the Beehive!). There's also convenient stores and markets nearby. Laura was super friendly and accommodating when I needed her. :)

The perfect Boston stay! As someone who lived in Boston for many years, I knew exactly where I wanted to stay during my first trip back. The Upton is nestled in the beautiful South End, a close walk to many bakeries/coffee shops/restaurants. The Upton is located in a brownstone, which made it feel like we had a home during our stay. We chose “The Tremont” and loved having a nice view (see photos), sitting area and small kitchen area. We had plenty of space which is rare in typical city stays. Olivia was extremely helpful from start to finish. Booking and check-in were easy, and she was available when we needed during our stay. Boston is our favorite city and we will be staying at the Upton again at our next visit.

I won't advise you to book directly without more research if you trust what you see like me. Problems emerged when we just reached, as I had to carry three big suitcases all the way to the third floor, as they don't have an elevator. Moreover, the room I have booked for 5 days costing near 2K, was shown in the photos like a big suite, turns out it's a way smaller room with a very small bathroom attached. Also, the laundry, which is considered to be an amenity for the room, is only one washing machine for around 7 units(updated it as per the owner's response). We have waited for 2 days in order to check if it's vacant. At the end, we gave up, grabbed our laundry, took a lyft, and washed them in a near laundromat!!

I loved staying in Laura’s beautiful condo.

Laura was great at communicating the entire rental process. She was there when I needed her via messaging and that’s usually how I prefer to communicate with Airbnb hosts. I was torn between this location and another condo a block from Boston Common, and I am so glad I picked this one.

Location: The location is central to all of Boston. Super safe to walk to different neighborhoods in the area, and if you love charming tree-lined neighborhoods (like Brooklyn) you will adore South End. Close to coffee shops and some of the highly rated up and coming restaurants and bars. ‍‍‍‍

Crowd: Based off the five nights I stayed here, id say the neighborhood is very safe. There are always families playing (lots of playgrounds in the area and parks), Mother’s pushing strollers, people jogging or walking their dogs and very fashionable/hip folks going out for a night out on the town. It was great people watching without it being too busy like it would in the heart of the City.

Condo: Great natural light. Love the bathtub for a good soaking after the end of a long day. Comfy bed. I appreciated the details such as the sparkling water in the fridge and the Netflix/Hulu TV. The condo is very modern but also has some historic character (wooden floors, beautiful windows). Beware that there are a couple flights of narrow stairs you’ll have to take to get to the top floor...but the views are worth it.

Also, thanks to Laura for helping me take the luggage down when she spotted me leaving and struggling with my heavy luggage! Check-in: super easy, just read the instructions. Laura was kind enough to offer me a place to store my luggage since I was going to arrive before standard check-in time. I lucked out and she had the room ready for as early as 11am!

I would recommend this place again. One of my favorite stays using Airbnb! Thank...

Reserved a reservation around early October for a stay in this place off of the website opposed to Airbnb due to cheaper price (our mistake). I am active duty military and around this time was when the government was close to shutting down, not receiving funding until a day before our stay. To make matters worse, I received orders to a mandatory military training overlapping with the trip a week before we had our trip booked. We reached out to the owners regarding a cancellation and though it was very slow responses we did come to an agreement that if it was booked for our dates we would be refunded, which we thought was fair. We kept tabs on the booking and it was scooped up within a day or two. We reached out regarding the refund and crickets. After a few days of trying to get in contact we finally got a response to which they stated they were refunding $600 of $1200 which was not the agreement set in place. Not only did they take our money for the stay we gave up, they made money off of the new guests at a higher rate!!! The host then stated she was helping us out by giving us any money back at all and a full refund was never in the cards. One of the worst experiences i’ve had with a hotel in regards to...

This place was beyond my expectations! I even extended my stay here! The apartment is located in the best location! It is located in a very clean and safe neighborhood with coffee shops, restaurants and shops on the street. It is walking distance to most anything I wanted to see or visit in Boston. There is even the blue bike (city bikes) stand on the street which is really convenient when I wanted to take a bike ride around the city or venture a little further away. The apartment and building itself is super charming, cute, well maintained and very clean. It is on a lively but not noisy street. I had cute views of a picturesque New England street from one window and a view of the John Handcock building and city skyline from the other window! Inside was everything I needed for a comfortable stay and a sound sleep! Laura and Olivia are very sweet and very helpful in answering any questions I had during my stay. Definitely would recommend and stay...
