I’ve been driving an hour to West Roxbury to see my chiropractor once a week and my husband and I recently discovered this great little restaurant, Bread Thyme.
Gabi is the chef creating delectable Lebanese dishes. Everything is incredible, this is the epitome of fresh and clean food. I have never had Lebanese food before and Gabi loves to take the time to explain his dishes.
We’ve been here a few times and I try to taste something new each time. Today I got a Caesar salad with Kafka on top, which was great, and my husband got the Chicken Shawarma wrap which he loves.
We always get the bread, and today it was fresh out of the oven and still warm. I took a video of my husband breaking it open with the steam coming out, but we can’t put videos on Google reviews!
Gabi’s wife, Joelle, makes these amazing gourmet chocolates. Today we tried their Signature Cup filled with nuts and dates, topped with a heart made out of fig. It was delicious. If you’re ever in the West Roxbury area this restaurant...
Read moreAuthentic. Organic. Clean. Fair prices. Zaatar was one of my favorite foods as a kid, but highly sensitive to gmo gluten and enriched wheat grown in the US sprayed with glyphosate, I haven't found bread that doesn't cause my body abdominal discomfort, digestive issues, brain fog, days of lethargy and mood swings. This is one of the few places I can trust. The bread here is made from organic whole ingredients they list out on their menus and has caused my body no issues. I am so happy to be able to eat bread again. All dishes are prepared with organic olive oil as far as I can tell, with exception to the deep frier, which I have not asked about. They don't cheap out. That means no government subsidized industrial seed oils that just about every other restaurant uses, destroying our metabolic health. Thank you for being here and representing true love for food, health, and...
Read moreWow - when I saw all those 5-star reviews, I thought "either (1) this place is awesome or (2) they have a lot of friends willing to pump up the ratings". After our first visit (and noticing that at least one of the reviews was from an actual friend of ours) it is clear that (1) is true, and I'm sure they're making a lot of new friends.
The owner is super-friendly, the food is really tasty, and, for a place where you order at the counter, it's really pleasant to visit.
We ordered a Chicken Tawouk wrap, Fatoush Salad, a cheese flatbread, and, to take home, a container of bulgur / chickpea salad. We enjoyed them all and look forward to working our way through the rest of the menu!
We prefer to eat at restaurants rather than take-out, and there is ample seating in the bright, clean dining room. There is plenty of take-out going on, but it didn't disturb our...
