ive lived either in or in the surrounding areas of boston for the last 35 years yet had never tried this restaurant until last night. thai is my FAVORITE type of food however as i say to my husband “thai dishes are soooo much better in the restaurant” (like most dishes however last night we had an incredible take out experience! for appetizers we we ordered beef satay, steam wonton & for our main courses we ordered - beef pad thai, phuket talay fried rice (w/an array of seafood). everything was incredibly fresh, authentic w/a gourmet feel. all of the (4) dipping sauces our food came with were so delicious & flavorful especially the house made (i assume) peanut sauce.
i don’t want to sound like some smug, pretentious rich person because im definitely considered working class at this point but grew up privileged .. however i’ve eaten at some of the best thai restaurants in several beautiful countries and all of the food we consumed was def in the top 4! 💖thank you to all of the chefs & staff . we don’t get take out very frequently so when we do it’s always so refreshing when the food is amazing. we...
Read moreFinally tried dining in at Phu-Ket after only having it via takeout after all these years. It's small from the outside, but cute and intimate on inside: quiet, more tables than I expected and clean, so I was blown away. I came here for dinner with my dad, and we got the Pork Tenderloin with Sticky Rice appetizer, Spicy Duck Fried Rice, and Seafood Pad Thai. All delicious and a great portion for the price. The price for all the items was about $40-$50, which is very reasonable. And with the takeout rice I got, that was still under $70. The service was a bit slow to start, but there were a lot of tables and takeout orders the whole night. So it's definitely popular, and I can see why. Even had a lovely chat with hostess and chefs after. I'll definitely be back! Bring your appetite and be willing to...
Read moreAn absolute hidden gem! My wife and I have probably tried a dozen Thai restaurants over the years and this is most definitely at the top of our list. Every dish comes out piping hot with the freshest ingredients. The best Tom yum soup and pad Thai I have ever had. Their crispy spring rolls are to die for. The beef massaman, and pineapple curry chicken are both outstanding. My wife loves their Thai iced coffee. It is a small unassuming restaurant but the chef is wonderful and always makes sure everything is cooked to perfection. Do not hesitate to eat here, you will be ecstatic you did! As with any restaurant, the food is always better eaten in as opposed to take-out...
