I visited the restaurant while I was in the area for the first time.
I was looking for a good French onion soup, scallops of some type for dinner. The reviews looked good so I gave it a shot.
I ordered my food for takeout and it was ready in very short time.
I arrived to discover that parking is a little tricky. There's no parking area for the restaurant that I could find and very little along the street. They did have a safe "drop off" area by the front which looks like it would be handy with a group. But someone is walking from the car and back.
The place looks good from the outside and the inside is no different. Clean, well laid out and a very comfortable vibe.
The staff was very polite and on point. The whole place and personnel made me feel welcomed.
Monday night around 6 and not a lot of people inside.
I ordered their cheese sticks, made in house. Not bad, not great. Different. The marinara had a strong, overpowered flavor that I couldn't put my finger on. Together they were OK.
The French onion soup didn't do it for me. I prefer whole pieces of bread, not tiny pieces. There was too much wine (I think champagne works better) and not enough heavy beef fat or Worcestershire. Onions were too crunchy.
The fried clams were absolutely delicious. Fried to perfection, a big portion, well cleaned with a big slice of lemon. One of my highlights!
I also got broiled scallops, done the same way I prepare them at home. They were cooked to perfection, the portion was excellent. Broiled in butter, garlic (I like more), lemon, wine and crumbs. I hit the lottery with this selection.
I had mashed and carrots.
I will definitely go back. I bet the steaks are awesome.

Read moreAfter my scathing review of 6 years ago, I would love to change everything I said, although all true that night and stayed away for a while, the food is always good! Drinks are now normal to me! So mad at myself for mentioning Dermot by name cause he is so personable and a wonderful bar tender. I think it was just a bad night for us, all new rules and penalties with drunken driving, and weak drinks! No kool aid now! I love the Corrib now as I did a long time ago! They were great during Covid too! I don't know what happened that night 6 years ago, But I can tell you now it's my favorite place and love when Dermott is the bar tender! I mostly get the fried scallopsI Their seafood is delicious! I think new rules went down back then and rules are rules! Help gets the blame! Great food and drink now! You have to get the chicken tender appetizer! It's to die...
Read moreWe held my father’s bereavement lunch at the Corrib. The staff was amazing from helping to organize beforehand through service day of. The menu provided options for everyone. They also accommodated children and attendees with special dietary restrictions if needed. They suggested a local establishment to get dessert items from as well which were fantastic. On the day of the luncheon, the service was exceptional. The waitresses were fast and attentive. The food was served quickly and everyone enjoyed their meals. Attendees were able to select from many options including steak tips, fish and chips, salmon, Caesar salad, chicken parm, or baked scrod. The price was extremely reasonable. The room set up was done perfectly for our party of 25 people but could accommodate a lot more if we needed. Overall I would highly recommend the Corrib...
