DeNo's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Boston

I have lived in West Roxbury for almost a year now, and finally decided to try DeNo's after reading about it. First and last time I'll order from there.

I ordered off of Grubhub because why not? Online ordering is just simply easier. Food didn't arrive to my place until 8:45PM when I ordered around 7:15 or so. I only live about two miles from Centre St.

I called the restaurant around 8:30 because Grubhub said it was delivered to my place at 8:11 PM and it obviously hadn't been. When I mentioned I used Grubhub to order, the gentleman who answered the phone (not sure if he's an owner but he sounded/acted like one) said, "why did you use Grubhub? why did you not call me directly? i have so many problems with them."

If you don't want to be associated with Grubhub why be on the service at all? Bad business.

Aside from his attitude, the food frankly sucked. It was a soggy, greasy pizza. When I opened it, most of the garlic that they put on it had spilled off to the corners of the boxes (kind of like they just threw it on last minute). It was your basic, premade Greek pizza that was probably sitting there for a while before it went out for delivery.

DeNo's isn't something I'd recommend to anyone. I can always give food a second or third chance, everyone has their bad days or meals. It's the attitude of the worker that has caused me to decide not to go back.

If and when that gentleman/store has a change of heart. I'll try again. For now, I would not go to DeNo's. Save yourself the trouble and get Dominos, at least they don't complain when you...

I gave them one star simply because I had to pick something and what it’s right to review but if I could have, I would’ve given them zero. My daughter and I had a fire at our home and we are staying with a friend of mine who happens to have a disability. He orders from here five out of seven days a week. I don’t know if these people are in new management recently or what the situation is, but they are constantly getting his order wrong. He was promised me three times free food the following day because of the mess up and he has never called and demanded those three free meals. Delivery guy came one time and the order was wrong. He had took it and never came back with the right order and because of that he did not eat that night. they had hung up on him previously because they could not understand him and they also did it again tonight . I have already called and spoken with them in regards to this and a woman there had asked if I could call and place his order because they have trouble understanding him, but the funny thing is even when I place it myself they still get it wrong. They should be very grateful to this man given them such good business had been myself. I would not order from here anymore after all this. Yet they wanna hang up on him. He has gone without eating and...

"Deno's Pizza and Subs has been my go-to place for the last 15 years. In the last two years, their delivery service has become extremely fast. I'm talking about getting my food delivered within 15 to 25 minutes. I believe they are trying to deliver food to the customer's door in under 20 minutes from ordering.

They use high-quality ingredients that are always fresh and very tasty. I must admit their food is delicious. It got even better now that I heard they are under new ownership and management. I welcome the new owners to the neighborhood and thank them for always having a great product. I would like to add that I do believe their dinner prices may be a tad bit high, but it's a sign of the times. They haven't raised their prices or anything. Try the Gold's Gym wrap or the steak tips wrap; they are wonderful. Even my friend who came over after many years said, "Let's go to Deno's" because he remembers how wonderful it is. Their delivery drivers are always friendly and very polite.
