Food is great every time I go. However, once I sat at the bar and waited 10mins to get a drink menu. then another 15mins until she came back after I kept trying to get her attention. bar had only 2 ppl and she was just on her phone and talking to another staffer. Fete food was amazing but overpriced. small-medium portions. THEN, another time I went during a pop- up shop and food was fiirree!!! but the food came out cold so the pop up Manager went to remake it then all chaos occurred. our waiter disappeared after initially taking the order so this random waitress came up and said they aren't remaking the food and order something else. so we did but then our waiter showed up after another 10mins asking where the food went when she arrived and the original food would come out soon. Which confused us cuz the other lady said they weren't remaking it. So the pop-up owner came out and apologized and checked on the kitchen. Then another 10mins went by and the pop-up owner served fresh amazing remade food. His food was amazing. I wish he had a restaurant! I asked for a to-go box from my original waiter and never saw him again. I had to go to the bar to get a box. But then she also forgot because she was chatting with the female Fete Manager and I had to ask another bartender. I had to ask the hostess for the check cuz my waiter was M.I.A. They didn't apologize for the poor service or compensate anything. Only the pop-up manager was nice and apologized. Don't get me wrong, fete has me in a chokehold cuz their djs are good food is good and staff IS FRIENDLY. they just aren't attentive. but they are fairly new and getting better having events and stuff. plus I love me a good black owned buisness. Hopefully they can address the attentiveness but besides that, I'll go again

Sooo good!! Took my daughter there for lunch and got the lamb chop app, corn and shrimp dip, Mac and cheese, and THE BEST oxtail grilled cheese! Our server Isam was super friendly and attentive without hovering. Can’t wait to go back!!

A Night at Fête: A Taste of Haiti with Room to Grow Nestled among the city's ever-evolving culinary landscape, Fête presents itself as a Haitian-infused restaurant with bold ambitions and a warm heart. Its name, meaning "celebration" in French, hints at a festive spirit—and to its credit, the atmosphere follows suit. The space is welcoming, the service genuine, and the chef’s personal visit to our table added a thoughtful touch that elevated the evening. The menu, however, told a more complex story. We began with the honey garlic wings—pleasantly crisp and flavorful, though leaning too heavily on sweetness, overpowering what could’ve been a well-balanced dish. The boulettes, or Haitian meatballs, arrived next. Unfortunately, they were dry, almost rescued by their sauce—but the heavy pour only masked rather than mended. Surprisingly, a few complimentary dishes made their way to our table. A cold sushi offering felt out of place, though the intention was appreciated. The griot—Haitian fried pork—arrived a bit too firm for comfort, missing the juicy tenderness one expects from this beloved staple. Yet redemption came in the form of the Pinchos, skewers of marinated meat grilled to satisfying perfection. Of the complimentary dishes, they were a clear standout. Service throughout the evening was warm and attentive. The prices were more than fair, especially given the portion sizes. And while the experience wasn't without its flaws, there’s heart here—just one that needs more focus and cohesion in the kitchen. Hotter plates, more mindful seasoning, and a little more culinary finesse would elevate Fête to something truly worth celebrating. For now, it's a promising start with room to rise.

This place is very disorganized, the service and food are horrible, and the air conditioning was out of service which made it very uncomfortable felt like we were in a sauna. My party and I were completely disappointed. We do not recommend this restaurant!

My friends and I made a reservation to this restaurant for a birthday celebration believing to receive aesthetic food and drinks based off their social media pages. I made a reservation for 8:30 pm via open table with the maximum amount of people allotted online, I attempted to call the restaurant on several occasions to add on the remaining number of individuals for our party. No one answers the phone no matter what time of day. I was forced to leave a voicemail for the request, the restaurant did make the proper accommodation via open table, and I did receive a notification from the app in regard to the change. On the day of the event my party and I were running late, I had made several phone calls to the restaurant to provide notification, once again I was unable to be connected. Upon my arrival at 9:00 p.m. I was notified that the restaurant lost their portable phone two days prior. Although my party was late, the hostess was very professional and accommodated us. That was as far as the hospitality extended.

We were seated and had to wait almost an hour for our waitress to order a drink at 10:00 p.m. Their specialty drinks are expensive, $18 each and they are very weak. Drinks are not as advertised! We were then notified that we had to order off the late-night menu due to it being late. Okay so we finally order food and a second round of drinks, the quality of food that came out was very disappointing. Our shoestring fries looked like they were from McDonalds, the chicken wings did look good but once a bite was taken, they were soggy not crispy at all. The waitress never came over to inquire on the satisfaction of our meals. We also never got our second round of drinks, I had to ask a busser on several occasions to get our waitress as they were not attentive and we had to request for our table to be cleared. When the waitress finally approached our table and we inquired about our drinks, the waitress did not acknowledge that we never got our drinks. At that point, I immediately asked for our bill. Overlooking the bill, the second round of drinks were applied, I had to ask the waitress to remove them. A 20% gratuity was added as this is expected but overall service is horrible and 10% would have been more appropriate. In a 3 hr. span a group of 12 had one drink and...

I had dinner at Fete, a Caribbean restaurant in Boston, with a few friends recently. The experience had clear highs when it came to the food, but several service issues left a less-than-great impression.

The Jerk Chicken bowl I ordered was flavorful, well-seasoned, and satisfying, though I do wish there had been more rice. Sadly, we had moment of us all placing in an order at the same time to then have our server bring out our meals expect for one, because they can't make what she'd ordered. So we had to waiting for her to get her meal in order for all of us to eat. Overall, My friends enjoyed their wings, truffle fries, and salad--everything was delicious and well-prepared.

The ambience was stylish and lively, though a bit loud and dim. We arrived around 10:20 PM, just before the kitchen closed at 10:45, and felt rushed to order. As the night went on, the space shifted into a more nightlife-type vibe--not ideal if you're looking for a relaxed dinner.

Service was the biggest downside. While our server was kind, she was slow and inattentive. We waited too long for water and to receive our check. Given the automatic 20% gratuity, the service fell short--but they did remove the charge upon request.

We also had an uncomfortable incident with the payment. My friend used her phone to pay for the bill. As we assumed we were all set, we were then surrounded by multiple staff, including security (protocol we understood) entailing that the card declined with no proof of a transaction on my friend's phone. In that case, we will be inquiring a receipt from the restaurant to state the transaction that supposedly states a decline. Otherwise, the tone and delivery felt unnecessarily aggressive. One female staff member in particular was rude and judgmental in how she looked at us, despite us being calm and cooperative. It was disappointing, especially since some of the staff seemed intoxicated, which is unacceptable during customer-facing duties. The issue was resolved, but the way it was handled felt unprofessional and accusatory.

Despite this, I'd still recommend Fete for the food and vibe--just be mindful of the service and late-night transitions. Hopefully, with better communication and professionalism, the overall experience can match the quality...
