Great hang out spot that opens early with food, sweets and coffee ☕.
Even though it's a very busy Cafe, servers are friendly, you don't have to wait long for your order, and everyone seems to be having a good time.
Bakery items are given to you right away at the cashier. If you're sitting for food or coffee, they'll give you a number to take to your seat. They'll come find you when it's ready.
Bar style seating is available at the windows, which is perfect for people watching.
Outdoor seating is available, just watch out for pigeons.
Ratings:
Flat white 7/10 It has an equal balance of milk and coffee flavor so you can still taste the coffee. The coffee itself taste like a light roast with some nutty notes. The texture is smooth and velvety.
Passionfruit Krembo 6/10 It looks amazing, but it only tastes ok because the passionfruit is hidden. Instead of passionfruit flavor you get a lot of plain sugar flavor. The cookie on the bottom doesn't help it's a sweet sugar cookie. The outer yellow layer is like a candy coating, the white cream inside of that is just like whipped cream. Hiding under those layers is where you will finally find the passionfruit- a yellow/orange jelly with all of the flavor that you wanted.
Pistachio croissant 6/10 The outside isn't as flaky and soft like a really good fresh croissant but the pistachio flavor...
Read moreFirst and last time here. Tried ordering the croissant sandwich however the cashier mentioned they were out of croissants so I’d have to get the breakfast sandwich and remove/add items to it in order to get the croissant sandwich on sourdough bread. The cashier input all the changes and then mentioned the added items would be extra money. When I asked why it was extra (on the menu the two sandwiches cost the same amount) she said that she couldn’t press the croissant button and that’s why. I again asked that if the only difference is the bread why it would cost $3 extra for the same items on the sandwich. She again mentioned she just couldn’t do anything else in the system and again mentioned she couldn’t select the croissant sandwich in the system. I asked straight forward - “so I’m getting charged extra just to get a menu item on a different bread because you ran out of croissants?”, she replied “yes”. Finally after two more times trying to understand why it was extra to get the same sandwich (same ingredients / different bread) a manager thankfully interceded and mentioned the breakfast sandwich is twice the size of the croissant sandwich. Easy answer to what I thought was an easy question but can’t say I’ll be going here...
Read moreI recently had a disappointing experience at this establishment. After placing my order and completing the payment, I noticed they had something on their menu that I hadn’t been aware of handed me the receipt seconds ago, and asked if I could change my order. She informed me that changes might be possible and called the ma
The manager arrived and inquired about why I wanted to change my order. I explained that I didn’t realize they had an item they were promoting on their wall. To my surprise, the manager seemed visibly irritated and condescendingly and pointed at the menu and said “ well that’s why we have a menu”. I felt uncomfortable as I had tried to be courteous, and only a minute had passed since my order. I then requested to cancel the order, but I was told that it couldn’t be done because it had already been started. This experience left me feeling offended and the manager’s behavior was outright rude. Eventually, after some discussion, I was given a refund. It’s disheartening to encounter such discourteous treatment in what should have been a straightforward situation. This happened today at on Monday October 16 between 1:00-130 pm. I was switching a tuna sandwich...
