I am in Boston staying at a hotel due to medical reasons. I ordered from Uber Eats for delivery since I don’t know the area and don’t have transportation. I was starving and expecting a delicious hot meal. I opened the food container to find three tiny pieces of “bistec encebollado” and cold rice with some pieces of pegao(the hard pieces stuck to the pot) . The sweet plantains were missing and utensils. I called the restaurant to inquire about the order. The woman responded that it was late in the day and the onions had dissolved. She admitted they forgot the sweet plantains and could not tell me if the small quantity of bistec were due to the order being served that way. She offered for me to go pick up the plantains. I paid for delivery, service fee and tip. The restaurant needs to make sure that my order is hot, complete , and with the proper serving portion . Don’t serve the scraps left over from the day. Poor Service, Poor Quantity, Poor Flavors. I don’t recommend this restaurant. I’ll grade them F for...
Read moreThe food is okay, my problem is that they are ALWAYS changing the prices of their food, some days a regular plate is 11$ , some other days it's 10$ , sometimes 12$, and other days they sneak a charge of a few extra cents in an order. How about you guys stick to one price and stop scamming people and over charging? That's not ok.
As for their breakfast I dont recommend it, ive paid over 30$ for the tiniest pancakes that couldnt even fill up a kid, and a sandwich that tasted like they just slathered mayo and bell peppers on it and nothing else. The only good thing in their breakfast is their coconut oatmeal (hard to mess up) and grilled cheese. Everything else has no unique flavor and taste like cheap packaged food.
Other issue is their rice, it always has a metal-like taste as if the pots its cooked in are made from cheap metal or something
The owners are sweet and never rude, but the fact that they change their prices every day makes me feel like they know what they're doing. Fix this issue...
Read moreI came in on a cool day, looking for some good Authentic PR food, porque no hay nada por aqui en la comunidad. This place was amazing growing up so I got pollo guisado a arroz con gandules y carne de res con arroz con gandules, alcapurria, y pastelitos. When I got home, the chicken was very bland and pale, maybe boiled first without much seasoning ? It had a very watery thin caldo con el arroz partially undercooked. The carne de res was very bland for my husband as well. “You should have just cooked this here”. So unfortunate. The alcapurrias could have use a little more adobo in the meat filling, fried perfectly tho and the pastelitos saved the day. I unfortunately did not enjoy my plate, entonces mis perros comieron bien (con mucho respeto porque yo no desperdicio comida y ellos comen lo que yo...
