It was my wife and I first time in Boston. She was graduating and we wanted to find all the special places to eat within our short time there. We both love breakfast/brunch and we asked everyone where we should go eat, and North Street Grille was THE place!
First and foremost, If you do go PLEASE make a reservation ONLINE/BY PHONE, they don’t do same day reservations so make sure you book the day before or more. The atmosphere is very homey and intimate! If you don’t know what to order, you are close enough to see the details on other peoples plate, but far enough to have your own privacy. Had Great conversations with the table next to us and they informed us of other places to visit in the city. My wife loves pancakes, and I love French Toast and they did not disappoint! Their banana bread starter (free) was AMAZING! It melts in your mouth and tastes GREAT! We LOVED their Potatoes/Home fries! We didn’t have one bad thing!
Lastly, we HAVE to say a big thank you to our waitress ALANA! She basically chose everything we ate and we were not disappointed at all! Alana went above and beyond for us when our drinks were not out as fast as SHE thought they should! Alana was extremely apologetic, but we reassured her that we were just happy to be there and the drinks would come when they could, and she was NOT having that…LOL! When they finally did, she comp’ed the drinks and said it was on her. She was just a JOY to talk to in between her serving our table and others. My wife and I decided that we would come back after the graduation, not just for the food, but for ALANA! We told her that if we don’t see her, we’re leaving.
Once we came back and did’t see her, we were just about to ask for her, and she turned the corner, and it was like best friends that haven’t seen each other in a while! My wife had her cap and gown on and they just started talking about graduation and she seemed more happy for her than I was!
Gotta say this is my longest review so far! But if you are in Boston, Make reservations for North Street Grille, and ask for/request Alana, and you...
Read moreA very American place. Nice people working there. Food was just ok.
While my overall experience was a mixed bag, with disappointing food but exceptional service and atmosphere, there were definitely some noteworthy aspects to highlight.
Let's start with the positives. The service at North Street Grille was truly outstanding. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff members who were eager to assist and make my dining experience enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations when asked. Throughout the evening, the servers remained attentive, ensuring that my needs were met without being intrusive. Their professionalism and warm demeanor contributed significantly to the overall positive atmosphere of the place.
Speaking of the atmosphere, North Street Grille offers a charming and cozy ambiance. The interior is tastefully decorated with a rustic charm, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. The lighting was perfect, not too dim nor too bright, and the background music added a lively touch without overpowering conversations. Whether you're looking for a relaxed evening with friends or a romantic date night, North Street Grille's atmosphere sets the stage for an enjoyable time.
However, the most disappointing aspect of my visit was the food. While I had high expectations, the dishes I tried fell short. The menu offered a variety of options, but unfortunately, the execution didn't live up to the descriptions. The flavors were lackluster, and the presentation was underwhelming. Additionally, some of the dishes arrived lukewarm, which further detracted from the overall experience. It was disheartening to see such potential in the ambiance and service not fully realized in the...
Read moreOh, let me tell you about my absolutely electrifying breakfast escapade in Boston! Picture this: after a thrilling night out with my friends, we woke up with a ravenous hunger for something extraordinary. Enter North Street Grille, a gem I stumbled upon via TikTok, promising a breakfast experience like no other. Boy, was that an understatement!
For the first time in my life, I indulged in lobster for breakfast – and let me just say, it was a revelation. I ordered the Lobster Eggs Benedict, and from the very first bite, I was transported to culinary nirvana. The lobster was a symphony of tenderness and sweetness, perfectly complemented by the buttery, velvety Hollandaise sauce. I initially skipped the home fries, but after tasting the main dish, I couldn't resist trying everything on the plate. Every bite was a moment of pure, unadulterated joy.
This wasn't just a meal; it was an experience that left me in awe. I've never eaten anything that brought me such immense pleasure. Without a doubt, it was the best breakfast of my life. Trust me, you need to make reservations because this place is bustling with excitement and is quite cozy in size.
Did I mention that North Street Grille has been crowned the Best Breakfast by Good Morning America? If that doesn't scream "special," I don't know what does. I am now a devoted fan, and I will be back for that Lobster Eggs Benedict. This isn't just a TikTok sensation – it's a culinary marvel. Highly, highly...
