Patrick of Boston Electric Boats welcomed us last Wednesday night, gave us a rundown of the boat, a quick training and we were off! Even if you’ve never driven a boat before, don’t fret! These boats have a max speed of 6 MPH and there is a GPS that plots a path around the Harbor for you, just stay on the pink path (tbh feels like a video game)! Of the 4 of us who went out on the boat, only one of us had ever driven a boat before and while my husband captained for the majority of the time, we all took a turn driving and couldn’t believe how easy it was!

We connected to the Bluetooth speaker and jammed out to some Yacht Rock before a sing-along to Chappell Roan while enjoying Sam Adams Summer Ale, Twisted Teas and snacks we brought on board, taking full advantage of the ‘floating lounge’ vibes the boat gives.

Just wow. I booked this experience for my husband’s birthday, just him and I. We had an amazing time. Starting off with Patrick who was friendly, professional and very thorough with instructions. I was nervous about driving this specific boat for the first time but he hopped on board and did a practice loop with us. So first timers don’t fret, they cover it all before they set you free! You have different routes to choose from and the GPS is extremely easy to follow, there’s even a physical map outlining historical landmarks etc. The boat itself is spacious, VERY comfy and has a cooler, you’re able to bring snacks and drinks too oh and Bluetooth . This is a relaxing ride, doesn’t go FAST so if that’s what you’re looking for this isn’t it, this is for enjoying the sea, gazing at the beautiful Boston skyline, passing by beautiful ships and landmarks and soaking in the sun and company you’re with. 100% recommend and will be back with a larger...

Boston Electric Boats was FABULOUS!! I booked a be your own captain 2 hour rental this past weekend for my 23rd birthday and had the best time ever. We had a group of 9, my friend was the captain as she driven boats in the past but honestly any of us could have! The boat was so clean, modern, and spacious, totally exceeded my expectations. The speakers were load and good quality, the seats were comfy and in amazing shape, the whole boat was so nice! It was also raining and cold when we went out but there was clear plastic covers around nearly the whole boat so we weren't wet or cold! It was a great time. The owner Patrick was so welcoming and took us out for a loop to get comfortable with the boat. We were also able to text him while out on the water if we needed and he helped us dock!
