ORDER: I ordered online, but it doesn’t seem like dining-in is even an option at this location; when I went to pick it up, I saw a counter where you ordered and picked up food. I got The Bev ($14.50) and the Brown Sugar Milk ($4.50).
POKE: The ingredients seem fresh. The white rice was chewy, not mushy; it seemed fully cooked, but there were parts I was worried that it wasn’t. The amount of rice was a lot; I ended up not finishing 1/6th of my meal, leaving mostly white rice and corn. Despite the freshness of the ingredients, I didn’t find the ingredients or flavor to be anything special. Given the amount of food, the price was reasonable.
DRINK: I didn’t have any boba in my drink. I thought it would come with it, but it seems that you have to order that separately ($0.50). Without the boba, it was just sugary milk. Like the poke, I didn’t find the drink to be particularly special. In my opinion, paying $4.50 for the drink would have been more worth it if regular boba had been included without me paying extra for it.
CONCLUSION: Despite the ingredients being fresh, the flavor of the food and drink were not particularly impressive to me. I thought the price of the poke was reasonable. I am giving the restaurant 3 stars: I might eat there again it I was in the area, but I wouldn’t intentionally seek it out. If I had choose a dish I would try next, I would make my own bowl.
I personally wouldn’t recommend it as a go-to restaurant, but if you’re looking for a poke place with fresh ingredients and the potential for a variety of choices at a reasonable price, I might give this...
Read moreReview is for the bubble tea only.
Stopped in for bubble tea because the tea flavors advertised on the window seemed decent and we didn't feel like journeying far. Now, I am no stranger to ordering bubble tea - because I always get the same order - a black tea, no milk, with a topping. Imagine my surprise when I asked for just that - but was told that the drink is a milk tea so it can't be made without milk. I could understand if the tea base was actually syrup and that was clarified by a sign or something, but no more info was offered. Most bizarre reasoning I've ever heard.
Anyway, ordered teas for the group and they all came out filled from bottom to top with ice and extremely sweet, more like sugar milk than any flavor. So we did get some kind of tea in the end, but it was way overpriced for the...
Read moreCame here opening weekend with some friends for some authentic Hawaiian Poke and it didn’t disappoint. Well seasoned and marinated, extremely fresh ingredients, and gluten free, with a great price point. The style is similar to a that of Love Art Sushi and Love Art Udon, where you can get curated bowls or make your own. We got curated platters and they were awesome. I got to taste plates 1-6. Also, the decor is bomb! Inside is small but roomy enough where there is some standing room. The drinks are so good. My favorite is the guava Fresca!
If you haven’t been definitely give them a try. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who will walk you through everything. Can’t wait to return and get some more of that crispy...
